As if musical theater couldn’t get any more sparkly, a musical based on the ‘Twilight’ saga is hitting the stage
In case you were worried that Breaking Dawn, Part 2 – hitting theaters at the end of this year — would mean the end of the Twilight saga as we know it, then this news should be music to your ears. Literally. Playbill.com is reporting that a musical version spoofing the blockbuster series is being performed Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. at NYC’s New World Stages. Oh, wait, did I say Twilight fans would enjoy it? Because I meant to say they’ll probably be super offended.
The cast includes a slew of Broadway veterans, but the one that I literally squealed over is Jenna Leigh Green – better known as the original mean girl Libby on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. We haven’t seen much of her since her days on the show, but she’s been active in the theater community. And trust me, the girl can belt. (Now if only she could hook Salem and Harvey Kinkel up with some roles, we’d be in business.)
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the basic plot of the Twilight saga, it follows the adventures of a young emo girl named Bella who is forced to choose between her two great loves — necrophilia and bestiality.
Since this is only a parody musical, I have to ask: Would you go see a serious production of Twilight: The Musical if it ever hit Broadway?

That is sooooooo stupid. Twilight does not need a musucal. I am one of the biggest twilight fans EVER and i think the people who are making the musical are just jelous that they didn’t get the real parts in the movies. Dont hate leave it the way it is.
