Nick is leaving Aspen after being hospitalized for mild kidney failure! We hope he gets the right treatment he needs!
Nick Cannon, 31, took it to Twitter on Jan. 4th to update fans on his current medical situation.
“Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me… I will be a’ight,” he tweeted.
Mariah tweeted a photo her and Nick in the hospital with the message: “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure.”
Mariah shared more about the situation on her blog asking fans to keep Nick in their thoughts and prayers.
“We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C,” she wrote. “We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers.”
Hollywoodlife.com spoke to NYC internist , Dr Robert Bos, about Nick Cannon’s prognosis: “Kidney failure usually occurs after a person has longstanding diabetes. But if Nick Cannon doesn’t have diabetes it could be caused by numerous things from blood pressure medication to diuretics – he could have been dehydrated- or it could be a caused by a form of kidney disease that damages the filtration unit in the kidneys,” explains Dr. Bos. ” He’ll probably need to have a biopsy if he doesn’t have diabetes.”
We’re definitely praying for Nick and we know he’ll get better soon! Don’t you agree, HollywoodLifers?
