Jeremy Calvert is one proud guy and doesn’t want people thinking he takes handouts from MTV ! He tweeted asap after questions from fans circulated asking if MTV had paid for Leah’s engagement ring.
Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer‘s fiance Jeremy Calvert proposed to her on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, with a 1.5-carat princess-cut diamond. The 19-year-old MTV reality star, who is expecting her third child with Jeremy, excitedly accepted. But while fans have been guessing that MTV paid for the ring, Jeremy, 22, wants to clear up the rumors.
“umm FYI I don’t make a penny from MTV my own money bought it!” Jeremy tweeted on Jan. 4.
Jeremy makes his own money. “well I work 6 to 7 days a week outside in the cold to make my money and I’ll spend it how I want,” he added.
While Jeremy may have paid for this one, the couple may have other reasons for walking down the aisle. “Leah wants to get married so she can earn money by selling wedding photos and interviews,” a source recently told Star magazine.
If Jeremy has that ring on a monthly payment plan and the source is right, the sooner he marries Leah, the sooner he can pay off that ring.
