Kristen is a gifted actress. Obviously, she had to portray the character that was required of her in the Twilight saga. Other wise, I don’t think it would have done nearly as amazing as it did. I believe for the people that have a poor opinion of Kristen, they very jealous and envious of her. Which I believe stems from the fact that she got to work with Rob and be with him romantically. And I’m sure she will be amazing in Snow White and the Huntsman!!

What A Joke

What’s Charlize supposed to say? She wants people to see the film because she’s in it, she’s not going to trash the title character.

But the truth is, they released another trailer and it still hardly had any KStew in it, and they didn’t show her delivering any lines of dialog. That usually means the filmmakers don’t have confidence in her performance, they don’t want anyone to see it, so they don’t put it in the trailer.

And she’s so unpopular with the ticket buying public that SWATH didn’t even advance to the next round of the MTV Movie poll, it got knocked out by The Woman in Black. She couldn’t even win the first bracket. The movie has a bloated budget, it’s going to be very hard to make a profit, it has to make over $550 million and that’s not likely.

Bill Gordon, an Oscar winning producer, mentioned that the one reason he took the Twillight job was to work with Kristen. He did not say Rob or anybody else. Not that I am trashing Rob, but to show that he was not just saying that cause he had to praise all actors. The director of The messengers which was filmed before Twillight had very high praise for Kristen. Praises that was very specific like how her eyes reflected the intensity of her emotions. He also mentioned that Kristen has a level of dept that few young actresses has. Kristen was 17 at that time. If you look at the choice of her role, she picked very complexed characters to portray: Joan Jett, a 17 years old hooker, an handicapped girl dying. Kristen has an understanding of pain, deep love, being different. She is not just a actress but an artist. Twillight actually killed her chance for Oscar nominations anytime soon cause Hollywood does not reward teenagers driven blockbusters. But her portrayal of Bella was amazing. I watched all four Twillights before I read the books and I can say she was spot on. Kristen is a great actress, and after Twillight is over. You will all see!!

Once again, a compliment from someone who actually knows what she’s talking about. Kristen, at the tender age of 21, is constantly getting praised by Oscar winning actresses/actors and directors. SWATH is going to be amazing. Want to see Bel Ami badly too.

Seriously? Her costar compliments her and that means she’s a good actress? What costar in their right mind would say ‘Oh she sucks. But see the movie anyways!’ K Stew has a lot of room for improvement in her acting abilities. She can be praised by Oscar winning actresses/actors all she wants but until she actually gives a performance that is Oscar worthy it doesn’t mean anything.

A myriad of top caliber actresses have never won Oscars, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t given Oscar worthy performances. Those who have won, with the exception of anomalies like Tatum O’neal or Anna Paquin, got their statuettes in their 30s or 40s. The fact that Kristen, who at 21, is constantly put under the microscope and dissected, despite compliments from yes, I reiterate, people who actually know what they’re talking about, tells me that there’s nothing lacking in her acting skills, but something lacking in your humanity.

Thank you ! Your comment was right on , so many great actors / actresses older and younger are doing amazing work but they don’t have an Oscar , the true artist will push on and continue to do great work we as moviegoers will continue to support them . Who would thought that Jennifer Hudson would win an Oscar for her very first movie , with no experience whatsoever and she was in her early twenties . I’m not dissing her in anyway but she was against veteran actors . So you see one never know when that performance is gonna come out and blow people away .. Also some actors actually serious about their job , they are not in this business just for the fame and have their faces on tons of magazines . More power to them both can’t wait to see their films in the near future !

I know right. Actresses like Sandra Bullock, Charlize Theron, Reese w. etc were delivering quality work for years in peace( without the ubiquitous cyber bullies that plaque Kristen) before their Oscars. I just get irate when these bullies declare themselves “acting gurus” and tear apart this talented young actress to fill whatever void in their lives… and thank you for joining the voice of reason in this harpy ridden blog.

I never said that in order to be considered a good actress you have to have an Oscar. I said that in order to get an Oscar you have to give a good performance, which Kristen Stewart has never done in my opinion, and plenty of other people’s opinion too. In every movie I’ve seen her in she’s the same emotionless, awkward girl whether she should be or not. Not to mention she rarely speaks in anything but a monotone, like @Hm said.

I noticed you included the “in my opinion” caveat in your second comment. But, what you actually said was that until she gives a performance that is Oscar worthy, other people’s praise of her skills means nothing. So since she hasn’t given an Oscar worthy performance anyone else who praises any of her performances is misguided or lying…in your opinion. This all just begs the question: Why do you read articles about Kristen Stewart and watch her movies if you dislike her so much?

So, we’re supposed to discard the professional opinions of the likes of Sean Penn, Bruce Dern, Jodie Foster, Charlize Theron etc for the poster “Hm” whose hormonal contribution is Kristen “has a voice like a serial killer”? Uh, no thanks. I have a functioning brain.

Who the hell are you to judge if she is a good actress or not….let me guess your a fellow actor or actress so you would know what fall under good or not. Bill and Charlize didn’t have to say what they said about Kristen they said because its true. On many occasion ive herad her fellow actors and actress say how good she is how she is humble, and takes her work serious. That all you can ask of someone doing her job. You haters just look for any reason to hate her. The way you talk about her as if you know her personally. In my opinion I believe Kristen is a little bit intorverted which makes it hard for her to do live interviews or other things. I just truly believe that she is going grow even better as a actress when there’s some distance from twilight
