Emma Watson's Lancôme Rouge In Love Ad Revealed

Tue, January 3, 2012 8:45am EDT by 7 Comments

After much speculation about what the final ads will look like, Emma’s ad has hit the web — and it’s not just about lipstick!

The ad shows Emma Watson wearing red lipstick and nail polish from Lancôme’s two new collections — Rouge in Love is the lipstick line and Vernis in Love is the polish line.

With Emma as the spokesperson, both new launches will be sure to appeal to a younger set of women. Youcef Nabi, president of Lancôme International, explains how.

“The idea is to make this young generation — that has been a gloss fan — come back to using lipsticks,” he tells WWD.

Pushing for a generation to change the way they think about cosmetics is difficult at best, but it seems like Lancôme is up to the challenge!

Would YOU try the Rouge in Love or Vernis in Love collections? Both are available in February are these red shades look perfect for a romantic Valentine’s Day date!

The pic is so shopped she looks like a mannequin instead of a real live human being.

Lipstick looks far more sophisticated and elegant than lip gloss. It also lasts longer, is more kiss proof and looks way more glam so its much better for a night out. Lip gloss is something you put on if you’re in a rush or during the day, if you’re going out at night take the time to put on a good lipstick, it’ll make you stand out and change your look totally, you don’t get the same effect with quick and easy gloss, lipstick is more dramatic. I’m really looking forward to seeing this line and experimenting with the shades.

You’re clearly buying the wrong lipsticks and applying it wrong. Lipstick makes far more of a statement than putting on gloss and it can look fabulous. Lipstick can totally change an outfit.
Also do some research into this new line with Emma, it will some will have a specific taste like rose and they will all be of a light texture. Good lipsticks are great especially if you’re in you’re late teens or early 20s and don’t want to look as 13 year olds do, they’re far more mature and a lot sexier. They also last way longer than gloss, these Lancome ones will last 6 hours, you’d need to reapply gloss tones for that…
