An insider reveals that ‘Amber is really depressed and alone’ and told a guard ‘she would kill herself.’
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is having a very hard time dealing with being behind bars again. The 21-year-old reality, who attempted suicide once before and ended up in the hospital and then rehab, is now on suicide watch again in jail.
“Amber recently told the guard if she was sent to prison she would kill herself, which put the Teen Mom on temporary suicide watch,” an insider told the UK’s Daily Mail. “Amber is really depressed and alone and they won’t give her any prescription medication for her anxiety.”
Amber’s jail-mates are giving Amber a hard time. “Amber has already been moved twice from two other cell blocks because all the inmates were threatening her and she was scared she’d get beat up,” revealed the insider. “One girl knocked of Amber’s food tray and another inmate threw toilet water in her face while she was trying to sleep.”
Loneliness is becoming a factor for Amber. “Amber called Gary [Shirley] and Leah on Christmas morning and had a meltdown on the phone after hearing Gary’s new girlfriend was spending the holiday with her daughter,” the inside said. “She cursed out Gary saying it was his fault she was in jail, but Gary told Amber she got what she deserved and hung up on her.”
“Amber feels threatened that she is being replaced as Leah’s mom and she didn’t even have a chance to buy her daughter Christmas gifts before going to jail,” continued the insider. “Gary thinks Amber being in jail for a long period of time is a good thing for her, he thinks she needs to finally learn her lesson and suffer the consequences.”
Amber’s mother Tonya is the only one who has been to visit Amber since she’s been locked up — and the depression is getting to Amber. “She’s barely eaten or had any sleep in over a week and she’s constantly being harassed in jail because of Teen Mom,” explained the insider.
Reality is setting in. “Amber thought because she was a celebrity she’d get out of jail within a few hours like Lindsay Lohan, but she definitely had a wake up call and hasn’t stopped crying since being locked up,” said the insider.
And the only way Amber’s mom will help her get out of jail this time is if she quits the MTV reality show.
Amber is serving time behind bars as she battles probation violation charges. “I really think this is the final straw for Amber, she’s quitting Teen Mom for good,” noted the insider. Amber and Tonya are reportedly trying to negotiate out of Amber’s contract with MTV.
A judge has mandated that Amber must remain in jail until her next hearing on Jan. 27 concerning her recent probation violation charges.

How stupid is this girl??? She always has an excuse, and she’s hardly a celebrity. She’s famous for getting knocked up at 16 and having a vile attitude despite being a mother. It’s about time she remembered that she became famous because of her daughter, and that it’s Leah that will suffer the rest of her life by having this cretin as a mother.
