Moroccan, Bear Blu, Zuzu — these celeb kids’ names were voted the WORST baby names of the year! Do you agree?
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon apparently have terrible taste in names! The couple’s son Moroccan tied with Alicia Silverstone’s son’s name Bear Blu for the worst boy’s name of the year, according to Ministry of Gossip. More than 10,000 visitors to BabyNames.com voted on the worst and best names of the year.
Although Moroccan was voted worst boy’s name, Monroe was spared from the list. The “winner” was Zuzu Audrey Peterson, the daughter of pastry chef Tania Peterson and her husband Phil.
On the bright side, some celebs have better judgment at baby naming. Pink and Carey Hart’s daughter Willow topped the poll for best celebrity girl’s name. The best boy’s name was Mason Evan Smith — the son of rapper Ne-Yo and girlfriend Monyetta Shaw.
And great minds think alike: Neil Patrick Harris, Tiffani Theissen and the Beckhams all chose the name Harper, which is now the 10th most-popular name of 2011.

@crazynames: ALL names were plain stupid the first time. Take Mike for instance. It comes from Michael (a good christian name) and means: who is like God? in hebrew. It’s a goddamn question not a name for a boy! That’s what you probably would have said back then ;-)
@michelle: if Moroccan is stupid, than Christian should be stupid as well. Both refer to someone rather than something.
Bottom-line: it’s okay if you belong to the majority, but please don’t
criticize on innovators who keep life interesting for all of us ;-)
PS I love the name Roc! I heard it a few times when I was in Barcelona. It’s a common name in that region and it means Rest! I understand mc and nc will call him Roc.
