Based on a true story, Lifetime’s new movie focuses on a high school teenager who PRETENDS to be pregnant for a class project!
Spy Kids star Alex Vega portrays an 18-year-old high school student who pretends to be pregnant in the new Lifetime movie The Pregnancy Project, which premieres on Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. ET. The teen’s social experiment made headlines in the press and revealed the true nature of her friends, family and teachers.
Following the success of the 2010 movie The Pregnancy Pact, this Lifetime movie sheds the light on how the nation views teen pregnancy. Did you know 3 in 10 teens in the U.S. will get pregnant at least once by the age of 20?
This movie brings attention to teen pregnancy and how it might be prevented. “The Pregnancy Project gives young people and their families the opportunity to talk about why it’s important to prevent pregnancy in the first place,” the press release states.
Will you watch the movie?
