Elle Fanning Teen Vogue February Cover: ‘I Rather Dress Like I’m 2 Than 21′

The fresh-faced 13-year-old makes the perfect covergirl for the fashionable mag — and we love that she isn’t in a rush to grow up too fast!

Elle Fanning definitely isn’t your average teen — and even though she has a pretty impressive career, both on the big screen and starring in high-fashion campaigns, she isn’t in a rush to grow up! “I’d much rather look like a two-year-old than a 21-year old,” the star admits to Teen Vogue — and I think it’s so refreshing to see a star embrace appropriate looks rather than pushing the envelope in overly-sexy get-ups.

Elle graces the February 2012 cover of the fashion mag, where the 13-year-old looks absolutely adorable in an appropriate red dress. Inside, she touches on every girl’s favorite topic — shoes! Elle says she really likes wearing penny loafers and always puts real pennies in them, “My mom used to wear the same kind when she was little,” she said.

Her older sister, Dakota Fanning, also chatted with the mag and admitted that Elle’s style sense is spot-on.”She’s the go-to fashion person in the family. Elle knows every single model, every single collection, every single piece from every single collection. She has a real passion, and it’s not at all in a materialistic way. She genuinely appreciates the workmanship and creativity.”
