It’s been a difficult few weeks for Selena Gomez‘s family — her mother Mandy recently suffered a miscarriage — but Selena is still taking the time to thank her fans for their constant support. “Belated Merry Christmas everybody,” Selena posted to her Facebook wall Dec. 26. “I can’t thank you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers.
“We appreciate every one of you,” she added. “I love you all so much and we hope you and your family had a beautiful Christmas!”
In the signature on the post, Selena includes “our guardian angel Scarlett,” which is the first official mention of the little sister Selena tragically lost when her mother miscarried.
We continue to send Selena our thoughts and prayers as well, just as best friend Demi Lovato did last week over Twitter.

Thats not the point that maybe she will have another baby. I my mom hadd a miscarrage i would b scarred for life… litterly..I feel sooo bad for her and her family… Bless her family with joy and i hope everthing gets better soon <3 Also bless Scarlett as she live her journeys in heaven <3
