Lauren’s mom had her prayers answered as the model who lost a hand and eye in a tragic airplane accident is now feeling ” positive” and “hungry “. Here’s what else has happened.
It was definitely a merry Christmas for the family of Lauren Scruggs — the model whose hand and face were recently slashed when she walked into an airplane propeller — as Lauren is “making remarkable strides” in her recovery. Not only is her appetite “very healthy,” as her mother Cheryl Scruggs writes in a new update, but Lauren also doesn’t need as much medication as she used to.
According to the latest post on Lauren’s CaringBridge page, Lauren spent Christmas wearing matching pajamas with her twin sister, Britt, as dad Jeff read the Christmas story to the entire family — after which Lauren slept for 13 straight hours.
And even though she’s still taking quite a bit of medication, Lauren doesn’t require as much of the “as needed” drugs that she used to take regularly.
Lauren’s twin sister, Britt, is even showing involuntary signs of sympathy — according to their mother — as her left eye has been twitching for the past few days. Cheryl says “she knows it’s because of their deep connection … and God allowing her to go through this with [Lauren] at the ‘twin’ level.”

Not trying to be insensitive but curious how some walks into a prop of a plane?
