The movie is fine, definitely not the w0rst m0vie. You have to read the book to be able to appreciate the movie.

I’ll admit when compared to the other movies in the twilight series breaking dawn was slow with less action…but then if you read the books breaking dawn part 1 was a little more mellow then the rest. i think it could have been better but the movie did ok. that being said there is definitely worse movies made this year like the green hornet

Ihave to agree, that movie was so slow and pointless. I ranks right up there with his move Men Who Stare at Goats.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Razzie or without Razzie, the big thing was……. tadaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! BREAKING DAWN part 1 earned millions of dollars in the box office record! That’s how incredibly powerful the on and off screen chemistry of KRISTEN STEWART and ROBERT PATTINSON! Who cares about the Razzie Award!? All the producers of Twilight Breaking Dawn are happy with the outcome! Actually, with or without story, just put Rob and Kristen kissing in front of the camera, the film will still rake millions of dollars in the box office! That’s how crazy Robsten fanatics are! So Razzie Award promoters, eat your hearts out guys!!! hahahahaha!!!!! RAZZIE IS A BIG ***T!!!

Rob did his best. Shrew’s pig squeal was terrible. Rent water for Elephants instead.

Who ever came up with the IDEA of “Breaking Dawn Part 1″ wa the worst film needs to rethink their idea of a excellent movie or a Razzie movie.
I have read and watched all the Twilight Series and I actually love the plot and story.

OK stop with the stupid “critics are jealus of its success”!if that was the case then Harry Potter would score all the nomination BUT no Harry Potter actually is one of this’s years oscar front-runners!do you know why?because it was a GOOD movie!it had real craftsmanship and despite the being the most succesful movie of the year, and being way ahead of breaking dawn, the film is the only film with universal acclaim in 2011.do you know why?becaus it was a GREAT movie!
So the success of twilight is not the one to blame for the nomination but you should blame the movies because they are bad, with no plot and nothing happens in the 2-hours,the acting is reaaaaaly bad (especially from lautner) and let’s admit it every departmane (cinematography, visuals, art direction etc. SUCKS in this movie!

The worst movie of 2011 was THE AMERICAN with George Clooney
why does he get a pass. My girlfriends and I went to see this movie and while we were purchasing our tickets people coming coming out of the theater that had just seen it, told us we should save our money because it was just terrible. Soooooooo why is The American not on the RAZZI list.

Hello?? Were talking about Breaking dawn here! Not the whole twilight movies. I agree that New-moon and Eclipse could of been better but Breaking Dawn and Twilight were amazing.

Whateva. Hollywood was CHOCK FULL of terrible movies this year–Jack and Jill, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Red Riding Hood–I could go on and on. People like to slam Twilight because of it’s enormous success despite the critics! The legions of fans around the world are clearly devoted and nearly $2 billion later, let the box office speak for itself!

just because something has a lot of fans, does NOT mean it is good.

I am a recovered Twilight freak, fans of this movie need to take a breath and go get a real life.

Oh yeah it was bad..my girl thought so to and she picked the movie. I think that u have to be a big big fan of the BOOKS to enjoy it. As soon as the creds started EVERYONE else left we (just her and I ) stayed and were the only ones to catch the trailer to the next movie. I will wait for that one to show up on TV

it probably wasnt the best movie of 2011 but it cant be anywhere close to being the worst. there are too many fans who love these movies to be the worst.

Just because the movie has a lot of fans doesn’t mean that it isn’t the worst movie. I’d throw out an example of another bad movie that still has a lot of fans but the only three that come to mind are ‘Twilight’ ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’. Oops.

It was the worst. Thank god Rob got a big paycheck and Water for Elephants was a critical and financial success. Shrew sucked big time.

i get it.. the movie is entertaining and everything, but the plot isn’t complex at all – having never read any of the books i could figure it out from the beginning.. the acting is nothing spectacular.. and the special effects (like when the werewolves were TALKING) were laughable

WTF????? Breaking dawn the worst movie of the year?! Are you guys dumb?!! Its been #1 in box office for a least the three weeks after it came out. This post makes me hate this website. If your going to call breaking dawn the worst movie of the year the author of this post doesn’t have a brain. Gawd, your guys are pathetic!

Damn, there are some jealous creatures in Hollywierd. Of all the awful, horrific films of 2011 that noone even bothered to go see, everybody picks on the second most popular one this year. Well you know what, I don’t care. When BD2 comes out I will proudly strut myself out to see it. When Twilight is over, I just wonder who will they pick on next…..

I was hoping that the blatant dislike for this franchise would dull somehow with this film. It really is a good movie. Not just because it made a ton of money but because there are a lot of people that liked this movie but are being told not to by so called professional critics and still went out in droves repeatedly!! The razzies have a nasty habit of this bias behavior because it will bring in more viewers or whatever attention because the bigger you are the more your hated. There are so many other movies that really deserve this. Vote against this and send in your opinions to them. It may not do any good but you will feel better voicing your opinion like they did with this foolishness!!!!!!+

They pick on Twilight because it is a bad movie. The special effects are horrible, the acting even worse. Then again you can’t expect much out of a movie if it’s based on horribly written books. It’s funny though. You’d think if it was ‘jealous creatures in Hollyweird’ picking on movies that were popular then they would pick on the most popular before the second most popular. Last I checked, they’re not.
Also, saying of all the awful movies this year, people picked on the second most popular one kind of makes it seem like you’re admitting Breaking Dawn was an awful movie that was popular. Just saying.

Dude. What the hell is wrong with you? Before you say The twilight books are horrible, hear the facts. One, Stephanie Meyers is a brilliant author. The twilight saga and other books she has written, such as: The Host and The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner have been sold millions of copies all over the world. Second, she has billions of fans. Three, if her work is as bad as you say why would movie directors want to film her work?? Like her book : The Host is being made into a movie. Oh and the last part of your comment makes no sense. Just saying. :)

Meyers is a brilliant author. Oh Please. she’s a hack that is only slightly better than the hacks that write those $3 romances you buy at the supermarket. Just because they sell doesn’t mean they are good. Especially when the audience are mostly teens who have barely any education about good, much less fine, literature.

I completely agree with Luca. She’s definitely not brilliant. She got lucky with the success of Twilight. The storyline was decent, but the writing was less than average. The thing that fueled those books was the undying love and devotion of a man…the thing young girls’ dreams are made of.
