Most people have enough trouble not falling on the ice — and while these skates may look nice, I doubt the extra heel-height would come in handy! What do you think?
While you could hardly ever catch me wearing flats, it is important to chose function over fashion and one place I would never compromise that concept is on the ice — however, DSQUARED2′s high-heeled skates are attempting to change my mind. Most gals have a hard enough time navigating the streets in their high heels — but imagine attaching a thin blade to the bottom of your sky-high pump? Well, that’s exactly what the brand is offering!
These lace-up leather skates with pretty stitch-detailing and an inside zipper sit atop a thin blade, and if you’re attempting to dress up for the ice rink they’re definitely an interesting option — although I would love to watch someone successfully skate in them! While they’re currently on sale, these novelty skates will cost you a whopping $1,137 — but you definitely won’t have to worry about showing up in the same skates as someone else (if that’s a main concern).
While they’re definitely pretty to look at, I think I’ll stick to the rental pairs that are available — the ice is slippery enough without incorporating another 4 inches!
What do you think of the skates?
