Kim Kardashian Is Ruining Kris Humphries' Basketball Career

Kris’ 72-day marriage to Kim has turned into a never-ending nightmare!

It’s bad that enough that Kris Humphries‘ divorce from Kim Kardashian has totally marred his social life, but HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that his professional life is also taking a hit! “The Kim drama is affecting [Kris'] career because teams don’t wan that guaranteed drama to come into the locker room,” a source close to Kris reveals to us.

For the sake of comparison, our source points to Lamar Odom‘s seamless recent trade to the Dallas Mavericks.

“Everyone from the coach down was asked about [Khloé Kardashian] and nothing bad happened between them,” the source says. “But NBA teams are aware of the firestorm that Kris will get in the media when he signs to a team. It’s something they’re not interested in.”

As we told you earlier this morning, Khloé and Lamar received a warm welcome in Dallas upon their arrival. No wonder Khloé is “thrilled” to be there — she really is escaping the drama!

Kris Humphries is a mediocre basketball player. If Kris was any good he would have been picked up by a team. Kris can’t blame Kim Kardashian for this. Most people had never heard of Kris Humphries prior to him dating/marrying Kim Kardashian.

Not only is he not very good, but maybe HE should stop engaging in this war with her through the media and his family/friends should stop talking to the tabs. If he was so concerned about this affecting his career, HE would stop talking and making this into a much bigger deal. Just get divorced and move on. He’s trying to sell him good guy image and fight Kim that he makes himself look bad.

Ella, I agree with you whole-heartedly. No one ever heard of Kris Humphries before Kim Kardashian and that is not coincidental. He spent most of his NBA career on the bench until last season’s break-out year. He is still on the “bench” with teams because of his performance as a player vice anything having to do with Kim K. I wish people who know nothing about sports would stopping spreading this rubbish. The sporting world can compartmentalize: there are numerous players who have had drama and teams did not shy away from them – Shaq, Gilbert Arenas, Michael Vick. If you are good, you get picked: it’s that simple in the sports.

exactly! if you dont watch sports you can’t speak. bball is my fav sport and i never heard of kris until he was with kim. he gave up a scholarship to duke to play ball in minnesota. he’s not the brightest and not that good of a bball player.

Kris’ stalled career most likely has much more to do with the fact that he’s a mediocre player at best. Additionally, the man is an adult who knowingly and consensually proposed to and married a world-famous and controversial woman whose life is filmed for public consumption. He knew that he was marrying into a media circus, and that by his relationship with her he would forever be a press target. It would have had a significant effect on his life even if they had remained married. No one can legitimately say that any of the Kardashians are “ruining” Kris’ career/life. He chose this as much as Kim and any other person who chooses to put their personal life on display for public consumption.
