Just weeks after Selena tweeted that she was so excited to be a big sister, she cancels concerts and heads home to be with her family.
Selena Gomez‘s family has been hit with devastating news — her mother Mandy has miscarried.
Selena, 19, was so devastated by the news that she cancelled her Dec. 17 concert in Chicago and Dec. 18 date in Seattle, E! News reports.
35-year-old Mandy — who was expecting her first child with Selena’s stepfather Brian Teefy – miscarried on Dec. 16 and Selena was immediately notified. She had been at Power 106′s Cali Christmas 2011 in Los Angeles — the show where her boyfriend Justin Bieber performed with Drake — when she quickly left to head home.
Our hearts go out to Selena’s family during this tough time.

I read somewhere where on twitter Justin Bieber fans were all happy that Selena’s mom misscarys. Isn’t that crazy?!? I mean like they were saying ” OMG I’m so glad that that baby is dead!” come on. U shouldn’t be happy over a death. It’s sad. Whether you like Selena or not , nobody deserves to have a misscarage. Especially right before Christmas. It’s not cool. Support Selena and her family and keep them in your prayers.
