We told you that despite attempts by doctors to save Lauren’s left eye, it had to be removed on Dec. 14 — her mom says Lauren’s pain is ‘unbearable.’
Our hearts and thoughts go out to Lauren Scruggs. The former Gossip Girl stylist and fashion blogger is still going through a series of traumatic events. Just when we think she’s turned the corner, the Scruggs family gives another heartbreaking update.
“As I sat with my sweet Lo in the middle of the night last night, we talked a little,” Lauren’s mom Cheryl wrote on the family blog. “She was so sweet, telling me how much she loved me and wanting me to hold her hand. Her pain subsided for a little while, but then returned, excruciating.”
Lauren walked into the spinning propellor blades of a two-seater prop plane on Dec. 3 causing her face and left hand to be slashed. Her hand was later amputated and she also suffered a skull fracture and brain injury.
“Last week, when she would hit the pain thresholds, we prayed out loud and just said ‘Jesus … Jesus … Jesus.’” Cheryl continued. “So last night when the pain reared its ugly head once again, I ask her if she remembered what we prayed the other times it was unbearable. She said ‘yes, I remember’… we said ‘Jesus’ … God would shoulder her pain for a few more hours.”

I totatlly agree with you Sharolynn. She was physically directed away from the exit she ultimately chose, and repeatedly told not to go that way, AND was on the phone.
