I totatlly agree with you Sharolynn. She was physically directed away from the exit she ultimately chose, and repeatedly told not to go that way, AND was on the phone.

Now this is a perfect example of healthcare stopping survival of the most fit. Walking into a propeller is an accident of abject stupidity and the gene pool remains polluted through her survival.

So sick of this bs. Tired of hearing about this. Her parents must be so happy now, able to get on TV and do all of these interviews. So many others in need out there, why the fundraisers for this family?

Why did God push her face first into a spinning propeller? Did she forget to pray or something? Now its up to his illegitimate son of an incestuous rape who’s been dead for 2000 years to save her. I hope Lauren can heal and give up this religios nonsense once and for all!

may god bless this brave young woman,I feel for her and pray for a good rest of her life. So tough to have it all and this happens. I feel bad of my crappy life, but nothing like this. That family that lost all their kids and Parents in that tragic Christmas day fire in Stamford Conn. is just another one to think and pray about.

Enough with model!? This is such a tragedy and how dare you ask for pictures! You are a disgrace! I have been praying for Lauren ever since news broke of the accident. You should pray for the Scruggs family and Lauren’s survival, as well as a prayer for yourself. The world is full of such miserable people and your comment is an example of it. She is such an example of positivity and strength. I send nothing but love and prayers for a speedy recovery. It is a miracle that she is alive. Reading comments like yours make my stomach turn. Go to church and become a more positive person.

Her pain, fantom pain, nerve pain is beyond excruciating.. having spent many hours praying for family member who suffers the same, I wish there was a solution. Horribly, all the Drs. can offer are narcotics, which if they work, are a blessing. Sadly, they often don’t really help this kind of pain as much as we need them to. So unfair to her and her family, do hope it gets somewhat better for you.. It’s amazing how many people don’t have any idea how bad this is..

Could it be possible the engines were shut down but the large propellers were slowly and quietly winding down to a stop and she didnt notice them (in a hurry or distracted). This is very unfortunate.

Oh please – ‘Sharonlynn’ stop being a jealous, bitter person. Just because someone chooses the fashion industry as a career – doesn’t mean they look down at other people. Only an extremely uneducated, naive person would actually categorize ‘all people’ in one field as being a certain way. I’m sorry if you have been “looked down at” in life – but I have a strange feeling it has much to do with your pathetically negative attitude.

”’Sharonlynn”’ You must have a horrible life to talk so badly about others. Lauren was a beautiful girl with everything going for her and you seem extremely jealous. After all is said and done, Lauren will still have a better life than you! Actually, the pilot is at fault. Pilots are not allowed to let anyone step out of a propeller engine plane until the propeller has come to a complete stop. I’m sure that the medical bills are out of this world.

I sent out a prayer that Lauren’s eye would be saved when I first read about her but they had to take it out anyway. I feel so, so sad for this young lady. I still can’t understand how she walked into the plane’s propeller but that’s neither here nor there now.

I pray God will give Lauren and her family the strength and courage they all need to face these trying times.

Now people will look down on her as she did others. People in fashion careers look down on others. They pick, mock, tease and snicker at others for wearing something that isn’t appropriate or considered fashionable. These are very shallow people. She wasn’t watching where she was going. Maybe she was on the phone? Maybe she was too busy checking her clothes, shoes, instead of watching her surrounding? Now she’ll know what it’s like to be mocked.

This well to do person got into a situation because of her Status. If you want to feel sorry for someone and pray…pray for our military men, who lost limbs for our freedom.

I don’t know why the plane propellers were on when she was exiting the plane. so sad and so unnecessary. I hope she is able to get through the pain and remain in good spirits. I can’t imagine having so much taken from me at an instant. my heart aches for her.

Jas,

First of all, you sound like a very jealous person. She had a REAL job, making more than you obviously do. As an Army wife, I do not compare others injuries to those that my husband serves with. Perhaps instead of trolling on this site, writing hurtful comments, you should enlist in the Army, maybe then you will have a reality check. There’s no reason to bash this girl whatsoever. May you never have to go through what this girl and her family are having to endure. Perhaps you should remember the concept of Karma.

Who are you to tell people what they can and cannot say or feel? Why don’t you enlist in the Army? This model you feel sorry for was a very shallow person. How many poor people did she degrade for not having a fashion sense? All these idiot fashion freaks are indeed very, very shallow. If you don’t like my comment, to bad, move on.

Sharonlynn, you jealous blob. I know who you are. Lauren is beautiful and sweet and all that is good. watch her LoLo Mag videos and you will see. She was born beautiful and yet, did not wear makeup hardly at all. She did not draw attention to herself and is always nice to everyone who she meets. Sharonlynn, I know you were picked on throughout school and you never made cheerleading and we did not let you join our group for a good reason. I will never forget when John put you in that plastic garbage can and rolled you down the alley. We knew about it and had the hugest laugh. No, he did not like you! You were not expecting that ride….when you climbed out no one was there…we ran off laughing. Leave Lauren alone. She will heal well because she has inner stength and natural beauty that is not just on the surface, but to the core of her being. The propeller was winding down quietly and spinning enough in the dark that anyone who never flew on one of those planes would know about. I hope you fall dowen a lot this winter you clod.

How heartless people must be to post such garbage about this girl. I’m sure none of you have ever been in a car accident that was your fault, accidently cut your hand while chopping anything or have broken a bone. This girl was obviously not an idiot, just the victim of a horrible accident. To those who have written nasty comments, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

You’re obviously a complete moron to not understand how an accident like this can occur. And obviously a bitter, jealous person if you feel the need to make negative comments about a woman who was just in a tragic accident. And a magazine editor IS a real job – so is being a model. Neither of which should matter – she is a woman and she was badly hurt. Period. And like I said above – people DO CARE about how she’s doing. If you don’t – than simply choose not to read about it. Grow up, seriously.

this is the second post about her that i have noticed and both have included nasty comments from the public about her unfortunate accident. it’s disgusting at any time of the year, much less the holiday season. i think either HL should be heavy handed with the censorship (which i would generally not condone), or just stop reporting on this poor girl. disgusting the comments people are making based soley on the fact that she’s a model and had an accident. it was at night, it’s hard to see propellers even during the day, and there are actually RULES AND REGULATIONS that the pilot may have broken that were put in place to protect passengers against this kind of injury. those regulations were put in place after lots of other people were injured- those people were not idiots, and neither is this girl. disturbing that there are creeps on here attacking her. what kind of people are these, and what miserable lives must they be living to be so nasty.

She is an idiot. How the hell do you walk into a propeller? They make noise, a lot of noise. They blow air all around. So even if you cant hear it (an impossibility) you can dang sure feel it. How stupid do you have to be to do what she did? Pretty damn pal, pretty damn.

It is surprisingly easy to walk into a spinning prop. I almost did it myself running up to help hold a plane down as they were doing a full engine power up and the brakes and ropes might not be enough to hold it so I knew the prop was going. I just didn’t see it. I ran to a different part of the plane to hold onto only realizing a few seconds later what almost happened. My blood ran cold!

Lauren deserves all of the sympathy, care, prayer and hope everyone can provide. This is a very sad accident, and she is not to blame. May Jesus carry her through this and heal her. Some can only offer evil, ridiculous, comments, and that is disgusting and sad, but also a clear indication of the wickedness some people bring to the world. We will reap what we sow. From the mouth speaketh the abundance of the heart.
