The X Factor is famous for delivering emotional moments, and the FOX reality phenomenon added one more to its list Dec. 14 when finalist Chris Rene dedicated his performance of “No One” to his late father, Rafael Rene. “I think he was in the crowd,” Chris, 28, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively after the taping.
When we asked what he pulled from his dad for his performance, he simply replied, “Happiness — just happiness for me! Passion for life!”
A recovering alcoholic, Chris told us he’s been sober for “7 months and 24 days,” and his plans to maintain his sobriety are simple: “Stay in the moment and be thankful. That’s it!”
And with the holidays fast approaching, Chris told us he has “a special gift” in store for his kids and their mother, Melissa.
