Elizabeth says after she was kidnapped at just 14-years-old, her captor told her he’d kill her if she ever screamed and he laughed when she begged for him to let her go.
Elizabeth Smart, now a commentator for ABC News, gave the horrific and shocking details of her kidnapping to the Salt Lake City Rotary Club on Dec. 13. and she talked about the night her captor Brian David Mitchell abducted her at knifepoint.
“I started talking to him I started begging him to let me go,” she said tearfully. “He just laughed at me. He went straight from marrying me to raping me,” said Smart as she occasionally cried before the audience. “And after that moment I couldn’t feel more worthless and more degraded. It was the worse feeling I could have ever felt.”
