The CW’s ‘Sex and the City’ prequel is one step closer to becoming a reality!

A TV version of Candace Bushnell‘s book series The Carrie Diaries has long been in the works at The CW, and now HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that a script is officially in the hands of network executives. Our source tells us “the show is now in the process of finding its Carrie.”

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Carrie is the only original Sex and the City girl who is set to appear on the show — at least initially — and the network is hoping to land a “big name” actress to fill the title role.

Who do YOU think should play Carrie in The CW’s Carrie Diaries? Drop your best pick in the comments section below!
