Poor Kris Humphries. First Kim pushes him to have a baby with her. Then as soon as he agrees, she changes her mind and refuses to even consider EVER living part time in HIS hometown. The marriage breakdown begins.
Kim Kardashian is calling all the shots. On the Dec. 11 episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, babies are on the brain. But after telling her mom, sister and best friend La La her plan to start a family, she gets a shocking reaction.
Kim is ecstatic when she finishes her birth control because she thinks it’s a sign to start having kids. Unlike most people who would realize it just means refill your prescription, but I digress.
Kim tells her mom Kris Jenner, who is in town to do the Today Show about her big plans to start baby making with Kris. But shockingly, Kris isn’t supportive. She tells Kim that she’s not ready to be a mom and that she hasn’t decided with her husband where they’ll even live full time. She does have a point. But it sounds like Team Kardashian is already starting to turn on Kris and we’re watching this marriage crumble before our very eyes. Such drama!
Kim is really hurt that her mom isn’t supportive, so she runs to talk about it with her friend La La Vasquez who is married to NBA star Carmelo Anthony. There again, LaLa tells Kim it’s too soon and that she shouldn’t have kids. So what does Kim do? She decides not to have kids. So much for making an independent decision on her own. Kim definitely cares too much what everyone thinks.
But instead of telling Kris that she’s not ready for a family like she thought, she decides to avoid confrontation all together. The now infamous clip of Kris telling Kim “by the time your kids are in school no one is going to care about you anymore baby” happens on the balcony. It wasn’t as bad as the KKTNY trailer made it seem but that’s the beauty of editing and having Kim as the Executive Producer of the show.
Kim’s sisters have admitted she can’t get a manicure without asking everyone’s opinions as to what color to pick. But instead of standing by her decision, she starts a new pack of birth control and doesn’t tell Kris. So sneaky and totally selfish.
Meanwhile, Kris has no idea this is happening and has a heart-to-heart with Scott. He decides he is completely ready to have kids with Kim and really give this marriage a shot. You can’t help but feel just horrible for Kris.
The only other storyline is Scott feeling neglected by Kourtney in the bedroom. They don’t sleep in the same room, so it comes as no surprise that they aren’t having a healthy sex life. But after a wild night out on the town and Scott expressing his interest in a threesome, they work things out. It’s currently reported that Kourtney is pregnant with her second child so clearly things are just fine.
I hope Kim gets the nerve to talk to Kris. These two really have issues and a severe lack of communication. The episode ends with Kim taking her new pack of birth control.
They are both to blame and there are red flags at every turn.
