Nicole Scherzinger: I Stand By My Decision Not To Support Rachel Crow

Nicole was vilified for her inability to make a vote, and now she’s speaking out about her controversial choice!

When Rachel Crow was eliminated from the Dec. 8 episode of The X Factor, fans were outraged that Nicole Scherzinger allowed the vote to come down to deadlock. But now Nicole’s saying that she stands behind her decision!

Nicole, 33, said in a press conference after the show that she wouldn’t change her vote.

“If I were to do it all over again, I would have done the same thing,” she said. “Because how did I know what America was going to do? Anyone can see that I didn’t send Rachel home — don’t get it twisted. I didn’t send her home and I wasn’t going to send either of them home. I have a big heart and I care and I care so much.”

Even so, her new year’s resolution is that 14-year-old Rachel has incredible success, she tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“Make sure Rachel Crow makes it on the biggest show ever,” she said.

Amasing how some people like to enforce their opinion on everything! Be fair if you were a judge what would you have done? If Nicole made the other guy go out, then his supporters would be having a go at her! So then what??? Just because you think someone is good or you like that person doesn’t necessarily means everyone should accept that. Where is the logic in this.

Put yourself in her position and think what you would do.

I agree that Nicole did a terrible injustice to Rachel. I also believe that the entire system is flawed. LA Reid was going to vote for his person, as well, regardless if Rachel sang better. And then LA Reid said that he was a man of principal. In what way? To vote for his guy even if he sang worse than Rachel? They need to change the rules. Either let the viewers decide 100% or let the judges decide. It was obvious that Rachel outperformed Marcus Canty in the sing-off. I almost didn’t vote in the finals, because I was so upset. But, I believed that Melanie Amaro needed to win at that point, so I voted for her. But, Nicole is totally copping out. So, is LA Reid. I don’t think Nicole should be a judge next year. She is obviously mostly into promoting herself and her record. Plus, she probably thought Rachel was more of a threat to her contestant than Marcus was. The entire process is a mess. This better get resolved by next season…Unfairness is not what viewers want. I hope Disney does pick up Rachel. She is just incredible.

Yes, I believe Nicole is a terrible judge for doing that to Rachel. She clearly believed that Rachel sang the best ‘save me’ song and that was what should have been judged. Instead she neglected her duty as a judge, chickened out and look what happened. Yes, America voted her the lowest on the song the night before, but that’s NOT what the sing-off is about. Why bother having the sing-off if she was just going to ignore the performances. VERY BAD JUDGEMENT. I hope she’s not going to be a judge next year. I would definitely NOT watch the show, if she is.

I am living in Mexico and I have followed the ‘X factor’ show., Nicole is a bad judge., I supposed the judges must have a good character and to do a good trial., Marcus is a good singer., but in this challenge Rachel defeated to Marcus .

If Nicole can not decide then she should go to her home.

My english is not very well ., but I am treating to write my comments

This is slightly off topic, but did anyone else hear the comments after the elimination between little Rachel and her mamma? It sounded like she was saying “mamma, you promised me” Awwwwhhh I felt so sad for her and her mom! As a mother, it’s hard not to promise your kids that everything is gonna work out even when maybe we shouldn’t. She must have felt just terrible to see her little angel hurting so ! My heart goes out to them both and their family! Rachel, You’re an amazing talent and I will buy every album you put out there girl! Me and millions of other fans, we’re all on your side honey!

I feel Nicole knew what she was doing and she was so fake. Rachel sang her heart out and did a wonderful job. I and all my friends refuse to buy Nicole’s new CD or the pussycat dolls. I refuse to spend my money on fake people.

I use to like these singing shows but I’m starting to think these shows SUCK!!!!!!! They say it’s the viewers chose but at the end of the day it’s the judges who say who go and who stays. Paula just mad cause she could not run with the BIG DOGS,she’s never been a good singer or good performer in my book. I always thought she was WACK!!!!!

Does no one understand the point of the save me song?? It’s not about America voting. It’s not about the previous nights acts. What it is about is a chance when America gets it wrong for the bottom two to sing for their life. It is also about the judges saving that one singer. America didn’t vote on the save me song, and if you listen to Simon the entire purpose of the save me song is for the judges to vote on that when or if America gets it wrong. So sorry, either way Nicole had a duty as a judge to vote on the save me song not take it to deadlock. Now if they both sounded so so or both nailed it and they couldn’t decide then deadlock. But sorry Rachael out sang Marcus and for me I wasn’t rooting for either of them. It’s about doing your job as a judge not saying it’s too tough let the voters decide.

I completely agree with you! She should have either done her job or the vote should have gon eto America based on that performance, not the previous one. Why didnt America get a chance to vote based on that performance? Imagine the ratings that episode would have pulled in!!! Boooo!!!! Rachel sang with soul and while Marcus’s performance was very good the fact is, based on the one nights acts Rachel out-shined Marcus. I would have liked to had a chance to vote, I’ve never voted before but I think I would have for this episode because I felt so strongly about it.

The point is that Nicole did say “the act that I’m sending home is….” so she did vote to send her home that’s it!!! End of Convo.. Ppl can hate Nicole for that if they want to cause the facts are there. All this sugar coating and camofloging that Nicole is trying to do is ridiculous, i don’t believe her when she says she would have voted the same way. It was a cowardly move! Leaving it up to the audience was the same as Nicole sending Rachel home. So SHE shouldn’t get it twisted, per her quote. She had a job to do. Can’t do it, don’t be a judge!

Uhhh what? America voted against Rachel, not Nicole. Good grief, it just goes to show how twisted and crazy people can be.,.oh yes, and DUMB.

What I do think Nicole did wrong was to act like she was guilty on stage. She was actually being KIND by “leaving it up to the voters.” Whoever can not see this is stupid.

And so if she voted for Rachel, would the Marcus fans be as furious?? Makes absolutely no sense to me. And by the way, Rachel often is “pitchy” and yet rarely did the judges comment on this. Many people are cutting her slack just because of her age and cuteness. But the voters did not.

Everyone needs to get over how Rachel Crow didnt make it. I too stand by Nicole decision it had to be someone and America voted Marcus to go through. If Rachel is America number 1 sweetheart then why didnt America vote for her? Rachel is better of being a Disney star and working her way up like the other young stars at her age. Maybe the best artist wins.

Nicole, Your job was to SAVE someone; not to send anyone home. You did not save anyone! That is the purpose of the save your life song. Stop copping out and own it. You were to vote to save someone and could not. America did not send Rachel home. You did by not saving her. In fact, you cowarded out and saved no one, so left it up to blame America; not you. You are to blame. If you had chosen to save Marcus, that were have been accepted even if I totally would have disagreed to that decision. To not save anyone and put it to a deadlock just showed your insecurity in yourself and in your judging professionalism. Take the blame; whoever did go home would have still been your fault if you chose who goes home or who the vote was the least. Which gives you more value and honor: Choosing or taking the easy way out and not choosing? Think about it.

Funny how you sound logical, but really make no sense. When Nicole did what she did, she had her reasons. She simply could not decide and decided to let America have its voice.

Im sad that Rachels gone but it wasnt Nicoles fault. How was she to know AMERICA didnt give her more votes? She probaly thought Marcus was gonna have the least amount of votes. I blame the voters. For some reason all of these Rachel Crow fans didnt vote for her! So its your fault that she is off the show. Stop blaming Nicole. Yeah she should have voted like a judge is supose to do but she didnt.

How does she figure she did not send her home? Did she forget that the phrase “the act I will be sending home is Rachel Crow”. No matter how dramitic she was about it, or how she wants to sugar coat it, she did vote to send Rachel home. And she says ” how was I suppose to know how America voted?” Exactly! You didn’t. But being a judge on the show you knew that by sending it to deadlock that you took what should have been Rachels 100% chance of making it, down to 59%. And i still don’t even believe Rachel did get the least votes. I know personally, as well as several others I’ve know learned, called to vote several times, only to get a busy signal. Just none if it seems fair

Rachel should’ve been gone weeks ago. She was the most annoying contestant on the show. She came off as a spoiled brat, which is exactly what she probably is behind the scenes. Her whole act was phoney. America’s vote proved that.

Rachel should still be on the show…she was one of the better singers from the very beginning. She is a child with hopes and dreams just like any other 13 year old. How was she annoying? Was it because she has a very bubbly personality and she sang like she wanted to win? She overcame any challenge that was thrown at her. So she didn’t get as many votes as she need to beat Marcus. Nobody not even you knows just how many votes she had or Marcus had..he could have beat her by one vote…needless to say, that “spoiled little brat” may not be on the show because ” America’s” votes came up short, you better prepare to see her all over the your TV because the little “brat” is blowing up!!!! HaHa, your oponion doesn’t count anyway!!

I wouldn’t go so far to say she was annoying, but she WAS off key more than any of the other semi-finalists. Maybe the judges couldn’t hear it right there in the crowd, but we sure heard it on our TV. (And don’t go blaming our TV *LOL*).

I think she has a lot to learn and that she does have something special. To blame Nicole is very illogical and I feel scared for this country if people are thinking that stupidly: to blame Nicole for being kind. Weird.
