Was it America’s sweetheart or the triple threat who got the boot before the semi-finals?

The X Factor results were as dramatic as ever Dec. 8. After an incredible night of performances, it was anyone’s guess who would be in the bottom two. Unfortunately, we had to lose someone — and Rachel Crow and Marcus Canty were on the chopping block.

After the judges were in a deadlock — Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul voted for Rachel and L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger wanted Marcus — it went to America’s vote. And America voted for Marcus to make it to the semi-finals, leaving 13-year-old Rachel sobbing on the floor. In fact, her mom rushed to the stage to help her and she could barely speak. Nicole felt responsible and was bawling too.

Before choosing Marcus, Nicole explained she didn’t want to choose either of them, which was why she decided to let America vote. However, after hearing the crowd’s ‘boos’ over her decision, it looked like she wished she could have changed her mind. Viewers were so upset, in fact, #firenicole was trending on Twitter for more than an hour!

Or Nicole lost completely her mind (does she have one?) or she was blind and deaf to do what she did. Rachel was much better than Marcus.

elimination between rachael an marcus,by there last performance? i would of kept rachael in the game,but after a week of getting over what happened to her,looking back now and watching this week’s show,if she was there with chris,melanie and josh,,it was best she left before the semi final,staying in xfactor longer would have been devastating more for,as we all saw when elimated,would’nt want to see her hurt…’rachael your the best girl in your age catergory,u have alot of years to accomplish in your life and dreams,dont give up,stay strong,hold your head up high

I cannot believe that these two judges didn’t see the talent and star quality in Rachael. She was completely great compared to Marcus. They shouldn’t be judges if they can’t see the difference. They continuously rave about contestants that can’t even hit the notes but are pouring out emotion. That’s not singing!! This little girl sang circles around them and I can’t stand what they did. And for you people who are trying to make a racial thing out of this-Rachael wasn’t white and we loved her so it’s all about the talent!!!

this show is a joke i voted 200 times the girl last week but the this show is racial all the way the final should be melanie and josh period but paula and simon are the best judges on this show the other two want an african peron to win they voted drew off and that was crap because she would have won fan vote but they did not give her same courtesy they gave rachel the other 2 contestants are a joke,the one rapping dude cant carry a tune and marcus well the last 3 weeks bottom 2 enough said the winner will be melanie or josh if not this show needs to be canceled next year and i will everyything i can i have mpney too i will pay the producers to cancel this crap this show,american idol, is a joke the best singer never wins and last year americas got talent no way that african american beat those to groups no way so probably the drug addict will win thats because this show has 2 racial judges nicole and the man on the other end are racial in your war zone there were more white people that was better than what is on tv but this show needs to be called the RACIAL FACTOR.

Josh an Melanie are the best an hope Josh wins,, i will vote for him,, Racheal is good an should have finished number 3 ,, Chris is a nice person,, but he really cant sing ,, so its just a popularity contest ,, an giving that money to a drug addict is crazy ,, Nicole is great an beautiful an sweet but a little emotional,, but it creats controversity which what Simon wants

Im so sick of ppl blaming nicole for what happened. they were both great but when it went into deadlock obviously YOU meaning HER fans didnt vote! she had the least amt of votes. and thats that! if you wanted her to win you should have voted.Yes she can sing but so could Drew and many other ppl on the show thats not what its all about. as you can see Chris Rene is still there. so please yall just mad cause she is a little gurl who got the boot. oh well! when astro was upset about being in the bottom two he was treated like a criminal but she could fall down and holler and scream but thats just sad not bad? of please

I refuse to watch the show anymore for two reasons: Nicole is a weak judge who didn’t have the temerity to do what she knew was right–eliminate marcus; and secondly because the best talent in the whole show (rachel) is gone. What a waste!

I think that definitely the child, nor Nicole should have been put into this postion. Nicole is way too emotional- which is understandable- however a judge has to make these tough decisions. I am deeply saddened that Rachel went home, however, I do think that the emotional stress, and the fear of getting voted off was too much for her. She was living the good life, and she didn’t want to let go of it…her reaction was understandable, but it shouldn’t have happened.

Nicole was hired to be a judge. If she can’t do her job she shouldn’t be there! She seemed more interested in getting back at Simon than choosing the better performance in the singoff. pr

I think saving Marcus for the 3rd time was WRONG!!!! He can sing, but he is boring boring boring…… I looked forward every week to hear and see Drew and Rachael! I don’t think he will win. Melanie,Josh or Chris Love all 3 of them. Best of luck!!!!!! BTW Nicole didn’t do her job last week!! That’s my opinion :)

How can you be a judge and not have the guts to vote. I really think Nicole should have not been put in that position. Personally I thought Rachel was the better of the two on the night and should not have been sent home. The comment about her being too young for the show is rubbish and if I had been voted off I would have cried too.
I have enjoyed everyone of Rachel’s performances and I will miss her terribly – but as Simon says she is going to go far and we have not heard the last of that young lady.

i wish xfactorusa.com would put out a statement why they sabotaged the group “illusion confusion” i was in the audience in Miami they came on right before Melanie and totally ROCKED the bank Atlantic center,they got TWO standing ovations,Simon said “fantastic,you are the best group in the competition by far” and i remember Paula said” i’d love to bathe in Illusion Confusion”the arena broke out in laughter. made it to final 32 yet that awesome audition NEVER shown,2 performances judges house never shown and final straw all other 31 acts perform undisturbed yet theirs was sabotaged with a talking interveiw over theirs ,even Yahoo music critic Lyndsey Parker wrote article(judges house part 2) 3 weeks ago and stated xfactor had to have something personal on these guys,notice youtube vid(bootcamp group 7)again get shafted as they only show them dancing in background.i wrote to xfactorusa.com and asked and they banned me from posting,just for asking why? thats pretty deep to ban someone for a question,must be touchy subject. wish more people would write or post on their site and ask why they felt they had to sabotage these guys,oh and i KNOW at their judges house perf, Paula’s face and”on the fence comment WERE edited in from ANOTHER group they were commenting on,they SHOULD put up their 1st audition,what are they scared of?

I think the save me song isa bunch of baloney. Rachel Crowe sang better than any contestant yet. Why put them through if the judges are going to pass the buck

What is the point of having judges if they are permitted to opt out of judging and come to a decision re: sending home a singer? Even so, I think that children are too emotionally fragile, especially if they have no experience in show business. It is a rotten business and these talent shows highlight the effects on people. I personally believe the age limit should be raised to age 18 yrs. and over.

I love Marcus canity he is one o the best on the show! People tripping, okay if you say he can not sing then what was drew doing with her non singing ass! Astro and Marcus canity are the best. America do not want to realize that because they are black! This show is not voted fairly, all you people want is a white person to win and your happy. I’m mean really you people need to get your act together. And I bet you see Astro and Marcus on tv before you you see drew. And guess what astro got a record deal what did drew get nothing! People these days!

The lack of decision by Nicole was terrible. They screwed up last week and once again this week. Marcus has been in the bottom 2 three times in a row. How obvious is it that America does not think he is good enough to win. He has NO chance to win! That is reason enough to vote him off. Rachel could have just suffered from America thinking she had it made. This is why the “save” in American Idol and the sing-off in X-Factor has been made….to save from America falling asleep on a contender. Even Astro supporters saved him for a week after his first trip to final two. Marcus stays near the bottom! VOTE HIM OFF ALREADY!

the judges need to do their job and quit cry babying! nicole needs to be replaced with someone who will do the job as they are getting paid to do. astro should have been taken out the nite he threw a tantrum! instead they rewarded him! marcus should have been voted off he is any where as talented as rachael crow! i am getting disgusted with this program , i think they are going to lose alot of the people that started with them. and i will be one of them!
