'X Factor' Results: Was Rachel Crow Or Marcus Canty Eliminated?

Rachel Crow Eliminated

Was it America’s sweetheart or the triple threat who got the boot before the semi-finals?

The X Factor results were as dramatic as ever Dec. 8. After an incredible night of performances, it was anyone’s guess who would be in the bottom two. Unfortunately, we had to lose someone — and Rachel Crow and Marcus Canty were on the chopping block.

After the judges were in a deadlock — Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul voted for Rachel and L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger wanted Marcus — it went to America’s vote. And America voted for Marcus to make it to the semi-finals, leaving 13-year-old Rachel sobbing on the floor. In fact, her mom rushed to the stage to help her and she could barely speak. Nicole felt responsible and was bawling too.

Before choosing Marcus, Nicole explained she didn’t want to choose either of them, which was why she decided to let America vote. However, after hearing the crowd’s ‘boos’ over her decision, it looked like she wished she could have changed her mind. Viewers were so upset, in fact, #firenicole was trending on Twitter for more than an hour!

What did you think of tonight’s results? Were you upset by the judges’ choices? Sound off below!

Their is no one to blame accept the public. They did not vote for her, if they had she would have been able to stay. I voted for Melaine the 50 votes that was allowed online. If you want your person to stay you must VOTE, VOTE, VOTE. Nobody is SAFE!!! She is a great singer and I am sure she will be fine. The first night for the first time I can say I did not like her singing, but anyone can have a off night. If you did not VOTE then you have no reason to complain. It is not Nicole’s fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why I liked Simon. Can’t deny Marcus can sing and has talent, BUT, he sounds like many others and has the same talent like many others. Rachel on the other hand has a distinct sound and talent of her own, not to mention awesome stage presence that captures Audiences of ALL ages and walks of life, which separates her from the rest. This is what a Judge should factor in when faced with a difficult decision, especially when its pertaining to singing and talent. Unfortunately, Nicole showed she did not have this ability. She felt pressured and obviously tooked the easy way out. NOW slow down Nicole supporters, you are right, Rachel’s fate was given to America, which was not expected, and sadly, Rachel lost. But a JUDGE is expected to make the decision. If the whole of America knew that the JUDGE could not put together the facts and make a decision, then I have no doubt the majority of America would have come to the rescue and Rachel would still be in the running. Last, not upset at Nicole, she took the easy way out and she had the OPTION to do so and she did. RACHEL you are already on your way to greatness!

Nicole should be taken out as a judge. If she cannot judge objectively who was better, it was cowardice on her part. Besides, all her mentors suffered from poor song choices courtesy of her.

I love Rachel but she was never going to win anyway. So what if Marcus stayed on longer when he should have gone home, he’s not going to win.

I waa disgusted last night..Why is Nicole a Judge when she can’t make a decision…come on…Hopefully, Simon will kick her to the curb and get a judge that can do what a “JUDGE” is supposed to do. If I was at the live show I would have Boo’d her too!!! As far as LA Reid, PLEASE he knew just like Nicole that Rachael is and was waay better than Marcus. BUT, b/c the way this show is set up he was not going to throw the kid he has been mentoring for weeks under the bus. It was obvious with his comment that he knew Rachael was better. GET RID OF NICOLE..MOST PEOPLE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO SHE IS AND SHE IS SUCH A POMPOUS A..

This now proves 13yrs old is too young for x factor. This little girl was crushed. It was like watching a child loss her favourite toy. Painful to watch. It was americia that voted her out not nicole. Its tv folks not real life. What life would a child have if she won. Racheal go back to the play ground and grow up slowly. Honestly you’ll thank god you were allowed to be a child for a few more years.
Shame on you x factor.

I missed last night but found it on facebook that Rachel
Crow was voted off. I think it was sad because she was the
best of the group and I sincerely mean that from the bottom
of my heart!!! She came in like a Trogan and went out like
one. I would have shedded tears with her because I know she was hurt and probably thought it was unfair. I pray to God that Disney or someone in Hollywood will pick her up and make her a star that’s already imbedded within. Surely, she was led to believe that she was going to win, they built
up her confidence then destroyed it.

Off key? Were you drunk? You have no clue about music. Rachael sang one of the most emotional, unbelievable song, especially for a 13 year old. She didn’t deserve what happened, all due to the coward and spineless judge Nicole.

All of them sang off key at times.Rachel crow sang better than marcus before being voted off my the number of votes cast. Why have judges if they cannot judge? Nicole you should depart from the panel and do something that you can do without becoming so emotional that you cannot perform the task you were suppose to.You should leave gracefully for the good of the other constants.Thank you for being a big girl and leave

Unbelievable!!!! How could Nicole be such a coward? No offense Marcus, but Rachel Crow mopped the floor with you last night. I truly believe Nicole thought Marcus would have the lowest votes, you could tell by her face. What a loss to the XFactor. Don’t worry Rachel, you will go far because you are super talented. We love you Rachel.

When I’m pretty coked up and drunk chris rene sounds good. And hell if America is dumb enough to vote for me not once but twice the youth if America will be fine and don’t forget Sarah palin can also sing when she is chasing moose through Alaska. So keep voting America show the world how our 62 states is the best. And remember the only thing in Texas is steers and queers

The elimination round between Rachel and Marcus should have triggered another vote by america (obviously necessary to avoid favoritism, bias, and flagrant disregard for ones responsibility, as a judge, to make a hard, but necessary, decision). Renewed voting results could have been revealed next week – rather than base a final decision on a singer’s previous perfomance that was no longer relevant.

YouTube Semi-Final Winner to date: Chris Rene (9,961,053), Melanie (5,524,860), Josh (3,881,767), and Marcus (2,735,389). And yes, Marcus (2,735,389) narrowly defeats Rachel (2,729,884).

Thank you. American voters did not vote in large enough numbers for Rachel Crow…that’s why she lost. Nicole followed the rules and gave both Marcus and Rachel a chance to be kept on by the American voters. If you didn’t vote for Rachel last night…you’re more at fault than Nichole

P.S. LA Reid needs to go too. Simon needs two new judges!! Every reason that LA gives when he doesn’t like someone is lame. Just like when he dissed Melanie and had to come back and apologize. If you have a beef with Simon, keep it between the two of you and stop acting like a child. He knew Rachel was better but voted otherwise. He cannot see raw talent if it ran over him!!

Chery, I agree with you totally about LA Reid. After Josh sang his version of Rihanna’s song “Fell in Love in a hopeless place”, that fool LA Reid thought it was just ok. He wouldn’t know a great singer, if one pissed on him. LA produced Janet Jackson and some other folks…none of whom are GREAT singers. Janet can’t sing a lick…all she knows how to do well is dance, and show her female bodily assets to the world to keep them talking about her. LA REID is a piece of crap, and Simon needs to scrap him.

What they need to do is not mentor any of the contestant at all and only be judges. This way they’re not making bias decisions. They can keep the fomat of the judges picking between the two lowest contestants but they don’t have to feel any obligation to one particular singer becuase he or she was part of their original group.

As for Nicole, she showed no guts! She has no business there. She did the same thing with Drew, as a matter of fact so did L.A.Ried. He also was leaning towards Rachel and Drew but did not have the guts to pull the trigger on Marcus Canty.

For the record Nicole is not the reason Rachel is gone. All you wining fans are. True she is a great talent but if you didn’t vote and you’re complaining blame yourselves. Why is it because the person you wanted to advance didn’t advance it is seen as so un-just? Ok what if Nicole eliminated Marcus I guess that would have been fair even after seeing that America voted him through? As far as music goes there are different strokes for different folks. Hey I think Gucci mane sucks but he sells hundreds of thousands of records so somebody likes him. Was Simon wrong when he sent it to deadlock? Bottom line is Marcus won and if some of you stop watching it may be better for him. Less people to hate on him and easier for him to advance with votes from his fans that are still watching. Rachel will be successful she’s talented but she lost you win some you lose some. To all the Marcus haters cry a river build a bridge and get over it. By the way my name is herbie rich young gotti go on YouTube check out my video and hate on me too. Lol…. Thanx in advance

This show is more about the judges’ survival than the contestants’ talents. The system is obviously broke- so fix it. Replace Nicole (for sure) and LA Reid. Let the audience vote and maybe have one save for the judges, or allow only 3 judges to vote with the mentor not voting (since they vote on principle not talent). If the show keeps the same chaotic format it will have one less viewer.

Rachel sang for her life? Everyone must’ve been watching something I wasn’t. She was emotional, but so was Marcus. Maybe she was more emotional, but she just stood there! Marcus used the stage which is what a “performer” does. All the contestants who’ve done “Save Me” songs have taken the wrong approach to it. Instead of bouncing down the steps onto the stage and smiling to the crowd and judges, calling out something to the audience to fire them up, they walk out to the stage, mostly sing a sad soulful song, and hope their talent is enough. Rachel’s vocal talents are stellar, but this show is called XFactor for a reason. It takes more to make it as a pop singer than a voice. The judges have labeled what they’re looking for “It” or the X Factor. Rachel is cute, has a great voice, and you can’t help but love her, however there are only two contestants who have “it”…the ability to connect with the audience, to walk the stage and sing to the people and draw them in. They are Chris and Marcus and they don’t have “the best” voices in the competition, yet they are very good.

How many of the people who were booing Nicole actually voted? If people voted for her she wouldn’t have been in the bottom two and wouldn’t have to face elimination.

Chris shouldn’t be there anymore. I personally don’t think he should have made it pass the auditions. I think Marcus has a better chance of selling records then Rachel does. Rachel is only 13 and needs time to mature.

What do you need with any of the judges?
Any time a contestant was voted by the judges there was always a tie. Why not allow the viewing public make decisions
that judges can’t make. Therefore no need for judges
The entire X-Factor is fixed!
