As Lauren continues to recover, The EMTs who first treated her speak out in a brand-new interview.
The whole world is happy to hear that Lauren Scruggs is making incredible progress in her recovery — she recently walked and spoke for the first time since walking into the propeller of a two-seat prop plane — but no one is more surprised than the paramedics who encountered her just minutes after her accident. Speaking with Good Morning America on Dec. 8, they said, “We honestly didn’t expect her to survive.”
“When we first saw the injury, it was one of those things that take your breath away,” one paramedic said. “With the lacerations on her head and the skull fracture, we thought there would be significant brain damage.”
Lauren is currently recovering in the ICU at Dallas’ Parkland Hospital, where a friend tells HollywoodLife.com that “she is making progress, but it is a long road ahead.”

I’ve been checking in periodically to see how Lauren’s recovery is coming along. I only wish the best for her and her family and friends that are there for her helping her through recovery. Just know that there are strangers out there (Winter Garden, FL) pulling and rooting for your recovery. May my wishes and blessings be extended to you as I keep you in my daily thoughts. Wishing you the best!
