Lauren’s doctors want to make sure she isn’t ‘exposed to virus’ while she recovers.
Lauren Scruggs, the 23-year-old model whose face and hand were slashed when she walked into the propeller of a two-seater prop plane Dec. 3, is currently recovering in the ICU of Dallas’ Parkland Hospital — but a new update from her family reveals she is no longer accepting visitors.
“Due to the risk of infection, there will be NO VISITATION until further notice,” reads a message on Lauren’s CaringBridge page. “This is a critical time, and we can not risk Lauren being exposed to virus.”
That said, Lauren’s family is “more than thankful and overwhelmed with the support shown through visitation at the hospital.” They encourage well-wishers to continue to support Lauren through prayer, and will update us all when visitors are welcome again.
“She is making progress,” a friend of Lauren’s told HollywoodLife.com on Dec. 6. “But it is a long road ahead. It is such a tragedy. She is SO beautiful inside and out.”
As always, we’ll be keeping Lauren in our thoughts and prayers!

I am sending with this all the hope, encouragement and love you will need to get through this. You r lucky to b in Dallas… There is an amazing doctor there Dr Kenneth Sawyer. He helped me with my face years ago.. dig from within deep for your beauty and strength are there! Time, love , support and a higher powers strength is all you need. All my love kristen

Why would you advertise something for your neighbor’s step-sister?! Why wouldn’t you try out this website yourself first and then come back and tell us that you made this money. One of my neighbors is a stripper and makes $10k a week doing that but I don’t go around posting that information randomly.

What a beautiful human being you are, Lauren. This change in your life has not taken that from you. My heart breaks for your pain; but, like the rest of the world, I am in awe if your courage and strong spirit. Keep rockin’ girl, I’ll eat a brussel sprout for you. Happy healing.
