Do you think it was too soon for Astro to be eliminated from ‘The X Factor?’

Astro may have ended his X Factor run Dec. 1, but the 15-year-old rapper says that elimination marks the “beginning” of his career. “I can record a whole mix tape now if I want,” Astro told HollywoodLife.com exclusively following his exit. “It opened up a wide door for me. I wouldn’t change a thing.”

The hip-hop boy wonder also shared his picks for the competition now that he’s out of the running.

“I want the boys to win,” he revealed. “Team LA Reid! We are like bros, we really connect — but I’m going to vote for everybody! I feel everyone is talented and has the potential to win.”

And when Astro makes his grand reappearance on the show’s finale, he knows exactly who he wants standing next to him.

” I would like to perform with Jay-Z or Kanye West,” he told us. “Pharrell, Lupe Fiasco, people like that. They really inspire me. It would be a pleasure to perform with them.”

But don’t expect Astro to stick to one genre; he’s got too much talent to limit himself.

“I’m definitely going to jump to a lot of genres,” he told us. “I want to take over any genre that I can. People get confused and think I won’t do anything besides rap. when I leave this earth, I want to be remembered as an MC, but I want touch other genres; not just rapping. I want to do TV, movies, cartoons, clothing lines — everything!”
