‘Bachelorette’ Ashley Hebert broke Ben’s heart — and it’s that experience that propelled Ben forward to find love as ‘The Bachelor,’ Chris shares in a new interview.
Ben Flajnik was simply crushed when Bachelorette Ashley Hebert turned down his proposal. The way he reacted, so heartbroken and upset, fans could tell that his pain was real. But now, it’s his raw honesty that host Chris Harrison says makes Ben an amazing Bachelor.
“We all got to know and love him during Ashley’s season,” Chris tells Access Hollywood. “I think the way he took the rejection of that proposal, I think he reacted like a normal guy, like, ‘This isn’t good. You just dumped me. I just proposed to you.’ And so it’s that same honesty and heart-on-his-sleeve kind of mentality the way he goes through being The Bachelor. It is great.”
Chris also spills about the 25 girls vying for Ben’s heart this season. “The girls are fantastic and dynamic,” he shares. “Yes, there is drama and tears and all the great trappings that make for The Bachelor.”
“We have wrapped production,” adds Chris. “Ben was fantastic.”
