Ali Fedotowsky Was 'Mean' To Roberto Martinez, Says Friend

A friend close to Ali and Roberto tells HollywoodLife.com all the reasons why they broke up and why they may not get back together.

Sorry, folks. Things are officially over between The Bachelorette‘s Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez – and a friend of the couple’s tells us there’s no chance of reconciliation, mostly because of the way Ali treated Roberto!

“She’s been mean to him,” the source tells us. “When anything happens to her, she takes it out on him. She’s very dominant. He’s like her punching bag.”

The insider says the relationship had been falling apart since “the summer,” and when things didn’t pan out the way Ali had planned for her career, she inadvertently blamed it on Roberto — who never really liked the spotlight from the beginning.

“She didn’t get her show she wanted, she hurt her knee…things weren’t going her way,” the friend dishes. “She’s a very dominant person, so this was inevitable. Everyone saw it. He’s more loving than she is.”

When asked if there’s any hope of seeing Ali and Roberto get back together, our source is adamant.

“There’s no way they’ll get back together,” the insider confirms. “If anything, they’ll see each other and hook up. She’ll try to pursue her life in Hollywood and he doesn’t want to be in the spotlight. He never liked it. He has his life in San Diego.”

As much as we loved them together, it sounds like Ali and Roberto’s split was for the best. Are you surprised they didn’t make it?

Yes they are perfect for each other, Roberto may have some bad habits so do Ali she was ugly on the show with Jake being the bachelor so who can she talk about. My question is why do you silly girls go on this show and tell us you are looking for love and don’t mean it. From season one until season 15 the guys are jokes only one or maybe two of the guys were real to me, as for the bachelorette its all about tv time and camrea as long as it roll they go when it time be real they become jackbutt toward the guy they pick. Now as for Ashley has show me she’s real and that good, I don’t think it matter whether her is shown on tv or not they are good together and they show it alot. Roberto stated that he will be there no matter what and Ali just has grow up she a fool do you know if Roberto become the bachelor I would sign up and baby I’m 53 year old and with 8 kids and one is older then him so Ali you need to stop and think about this and go and get him back. Brad and Emily are joke also don’t even let me talk about her with lying self. Ali you aren’t getting any young your clock is going to play out soon.

She is just like Vienna just want tv time and now the carema is rolling on others now she want to break up. This guy moved to where she was that say alot about a person. It all about her and no one else matter. DeAnna, Holly, and Vienna they are the same selfish this show is bad like it but now one gets real. I am actually sad….. Roberto comes across as a very reserved guy. Makes you wonder what women actually want. It is very rare that such a hot guy would prefer to stay at home rather than go out!!! Keep him Ali! Guys out there are viscious especially when they are hot, ask Demi More etc

Ali I really hope that what your friend is saying about you being “mean” with Roberto is not true. But to be honest, you do seem to look like you get angry easily, especially if you don’t get your way or things don’t go right for you. Roberto comes from a “still married” parents who are so loving and respect for each other. He has that foundation that, that is how he wants his marriage to be and he even said it on the show. Love is not something you experience with and then let go. It’s a bond that only death can break, not a argument just because you didn’t get it your way, or because you still want to party with your friends or be in the limelight. Those things will be gone one day. Love is something you will treasure for always and it’s given to you by God. You had the best man and believe me, you will not find one like Roberto ever again.

I used to be a fan of Ali but not anymore. Ali needs a lot of growing up to do. If you really truly love Roberto as what you claimed, you should have not walked out on him, give time. Who is the center of your life? is it you or someone else? think about it. Hopefully Roberto will say his side of the story, what’s life with Ali, their relationship, or maybe he’s not interested with big bucks that Ali got for telling her story in the magazine. Culture where Roberto came has so much love and respect for family.

Ali always wanted fame. @Anonymus, Roberto never cheated. Ali was the one who wanted to be seen by everyone. She only deserves 2 men: Frank and Justin, those guys saw her through. She is not ready to be married. I love this show because of the drama. Roberto had been different from the start…She is not different from Vienna at all

I’m not sure how I feel about Ali telling her break up story to People magazine. Clearly she got paid for that,the very thing Vienna her nemesis did when she broke up with Jake. If she was the down to earth starry eyed girl that fell in love with Roberto and wanted to live happily ever after, then isn’t selling a break up story just more than a tad disingenuous? Perhaps some time apart will convince Ali that she really did have a incredible man and it’s time to put the Hollywood ambitions away in exchange for the life she claims she always wanted with Mr. Dimples. Ali one day you will get older and fame and Hollywood will not be there for you. Why wouldn’t you want to spend the rest of your life with a man who loves you with all his heart. It’s not a bad thing to want to be a wife and mother and to have it all with Roberto. You are very crazy for leaving him. Any other woman who is not into Hollywood and fame would love to have that life with Roberto. I do believe he was a very loving person, you could see it in his eyes. Am so dissapointed with you Ali, we loved you so much in South Africa. A man like Roberto is hard to find, u will regret it one day. Even in the show he was so diffrent from others, well mannered, hot…awww, and dignified, you left a man who was willing to become a husband and a loving fathern not someone who would run around, lime light life has never worked

Ali and Roberto did it backwards – they had a whirlwind romance, got engaged, moved in together – and then started to really get to know one another. What they discovered was that they had very different personalities, interests and life goals. They’re incompatible, that’s all.

I was rooting for her on the San Diego news, but it was painful to watch her. She didn’t have the skills to report. It’s not awful that she wants to have a life in Lala land, but not ideal for a steady relationship. Haven’t we heard, “get out of Hollywood for a successful relationship” enough? I’d be surprised if Roberto enjoyed going to get swag, hitting the red carpet, and posing for all those lame photos. Not a lot of regular guys would enjoy that. Ali needs the spotlight on her, and her now ex was ready to settle down. Hope they both find happiness.

They brought out the worst in each other and were miserable together according to another friend. Roberto was a player with a wandering eye who cheated on Ali. That was the reason she dumped him.

I thought they were good together UNTIL I saw how much Ali tried to get the fame spotlight and it has been how long since she worked now, well almost the entire year and a half the bachelorette has been over (a couple stints here and there) and then the half year she was w/the show twice…she needs to get a life and get to work…She was not good on the San Diego TV show and if she was they would have kept her on

Not surprised hearing she broke it off. she canceled the wedding a few times with stupid excuses. I watched her on the prior season when she was on the Batchelor. She was very wishy washy about her career back then.. and backed out of the Batchelor show to go back to her career half way through the show, only to try to come back. I saw THAT as NOT a good sign. I saw her unable to make a decision. very immature to me or more self centered. I am not surprised she could not make a decision now.. too bad she wanted a celebrity life rather to settle down with a Hot Insurance broker! Kudos to Trista and Ryan Sutter for not drastically changing who they were!! Trista settled down with a firefighter. She didn’t try to change who he was. She was in love. Ali is VERY young still. She needs to grow up! She claims he is the love of her life? If that is so, she wouldn’t of missed 1 opportunity to walk down the isle! Roberto is going to find a great girl! Sorry Ali, you are not young, and for heavens sake stop thinking about a career in hollywood you dont belong there if you were they would have picked you already – think big now, UN will pick you to be a marriage counsellor moving to places showing a good example of love and patience to people like us here (Africa) African loved your show and wished to see you together leaving Roberto is not a solution – we cannot appreciate you now with another GUY – it will be fake -reconsider and listen to Roberto you will be greater than you can imagine automatically without even moving from your house, they will call you for a job.
