Kris Humphries: The Real Reason He Wants Annulment -- Thinks Kim Defrauded Him Into Marriage

Kris Humphries thinks he was duped by Kim Kardashian. Do you think he’s right?

Kris Humphries is one angry dude. The 26-year-old NBA pro thinks Kim Kardashian defrauded him into getting married, which is the reason he now wants an annulment, reports TMZ.

“Kris was not in on the fraud, meaning he did not stage the marriage for Kim’s reality show. We’re told Kris wanted this to be a genuine marriage, but Kim was never really on board,” a source told them.

The story explains how this annulment is Kris’ way of getting money out of Kim. Although the couple had a prenup, Kris claims there were ”community and quasi-community assets.” He also wants Kim to pay for his legal fees.

Beverly Hills attorney Mark McBride tells HollywoodLife.com, “As for any financial gain Kris can gain from this, it’s easy. If he can show that the marriage was a con on her part then that can throw doubt in the legitimacy of the pre-nuptial agreement. He then could sue her for damages.”

However, what Kris is proposing could be a lengthy process and McBride believes it might just be a tactic for more cash.

“He might have a strategy though. If he keeps this in the public eye, it doesn’t make her look good,” he explains. “So she could then say, ‘Why don’t I give you more then what was in the pre-nup?’ And then the papers would turn into a regular divorce and it all goes away. He could be jamming her up for a little more cash.”

Kim filed for divorce on 72 days after tying the knot in a $15 million wedding that was broadcast on E!. Despite her and her family’s claims the relationship was real, there are tons of skeptics who believe the entire ordeal was staged for money — and it sounds like Kris is buying it now too.

thank you for getting comments from a smart attorney! the legal theory he proposes is fascinating, and i think if kris is really orchestrating it all like this, as a ploy for more money, he’s got one heck of a good attorney— even if he’s a midwestern guy! (right?) cuz chris to me is smelling like roses- kim is NOT. i don’t actually know if kris is innocent in all this, or not— he has always looked a little db’y to me. but, regardless, i feel like kim sort of deserves this nonsense, and she sure as sh!t doesn’t deserve privacy— i’m with daniel craig (is that mr. bond’s name?), don’t sell yourself to the public and then say you need your privacy. FU! (but, frankly, i wish she did have her privacy so i didn’t have to hear about it!)

Thank god Kris found an attorney who knows how to handle this Kardashian clan. Yari, your full of crap attacking Kris Humphries. As soon as he mentioned proposing that mother was all over it. He married that high end witch for love, not for fame, he is a pro basketball player, he has his own form of fame and talent, 15 minutes of fame, my tush! An annulment is exactly what he should get. Why should his future w/a suitable wife be tainted by a ‘fraudulent’ 1st marriage. Kris was way over his head w/this piece of merchandise. A savvy lawyer should take care of this family, ASAP! I feel Kim is a money hungry birch that doesn’t care about anyone besides her family and money. Look at her she had to have sex type to be anything. Her look’s is from so much surgery. Let’s not kid our self. Also what are we teaching our children. That being fake and sleeping your way to top of things is the answer to get ahead in life. Look how she act’s like a stuck up child. If she believe in marriage and what it stands for she would not have put Her husband and positions where there would be conflict. His career is just important then her superficial life is.
