Could this scary sounding ingredient be a royal beauty secret?

The Daily Mail is reporting that Kate Middleton is getting a bee venom facial by famous aesthetician Deborah Mitchell. Deborah is reportedly the facialist of choice of The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, and it was Camilla who recommended the treatment to Kate. The concept behind using bee venom in skincare is that it causes blood to flow to the surface of the skin, giving a fuller, more youthful appearance.

Deborah nor the Clarence House spokesman could comment to the Daily Mail on whether Kate has had the treatment, but it certainly sounds beneficial for the skin.

Remember those pout puffing products that promised to plump your lips with a bit of a sting? This seems to be a similar concept. A bit of a bite on the lips sounds like no big deal, but I don’t know if I would want to feel that sensation all over my face!

Would you try this treatment?
