Demi Lovato Confesses: Who 'Skyscraper' Is Written About

Demi doesn’t mince words when she tells ‘Glamour’ magazine who she’s singing to in her hit song Skyscraper. Hmm!

If you’ve been wondering who Skyscaper is about — Joe Jonas, Ashley Greene or someone else, wait no more.

“It’s to every person who tried to bring me down. Everyone has the bully or the mean girl or the ex-boyfriend who tried to bring them down.” she says in a very revealing interview in the magazine’s January issue.

“For me, I think of the people who really weren’t there for me when I went into treatment. It was a really dark time for me because I had only a few people — I had surrounded myself with so many artificial friendships. It’s about those people too.”

We’re so glad you have left those “artificial friendships” behind and that true friends like Selena Gomez were there for you!

I was raised Christian, and “Skyscraper” basically sounds like a vague description of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.

Wow that is some song in a good way

I hate to break it to you guys, but she didn’t write skyscrapper and it was written years before all of this happened. It was even recorded before she went to rehab.

For anyone who is thinking the jonas didnt stick by her they did, because they all sent her well wishes, and now they still talk. Demi even said it herself that she is still friends with them.
And no she didnt write the song.

She was obviously speaking on what the song meant to her. And what it represents are the shady people in her life People that were fake friends and dident realy care about her.

People like Selena Kim and as much as I hate to admit it Miley are the ones that were there when Demi went into treatment. Others who shall remain nameless ditched her and that had to hurt.

Glad Demi is back now, stronger, happier and healtyer now that shes weeded thru all the fake people who were trying to bring her down.

who cares if she didnt write it…alot of artists dont write ANY of there music….as long as you can relate too it and the fans can tell there singing it from there heart…WHO CARES! She sings it beautifully and i think she looks great and has a great future ahead.

What a strong girl. You can feel it all when you see her face. I wish her only good things and believe she has a lot to offer!

it doesnt matter if she wrote the song or not…yuh guys know that it relates to her life and everybody else is being mean to her..everybody knows whats going on and your still criticizing..the world is being to cruel..shes a nice girl that hasa little problem like every other human being..so leave her alone because many of yuh we love to have what she has right now…yeah give credit to the writer of the song ok but soo..who sang it?? her…why?? cuz it relates to her…so yeah!!!
