Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore‘s marriage may have survived multiple partners in the bedroom, but apparently Ashton’s fling with sexy 22-year-old Sara Leal was the final straw!
Demi, 49, decided that 33-year-old Ashton’s infidelity was too much to handle, US Weekly reports.
“The final straw with Sara Leal has just been too humiliating for Demi to get over,” a source close to the couple said. “[She] just couldn’t look at Ashton the same way and the marriage… completely unraveled. She still loves Ashton but feels he went too far and disrespected her and their marriage in a way that can’t be taken back.”
Demi also felt the need to be a strong role model.
“She wants to set an example for her daughters and this was just something she could not rationalize to them or to herself,” the source said. “She really tried everything she could to forgive him and accept his apologies. At the end of the day, the public humiliation and the example she was setting by staying in the marriage just wasn’t the right thing for her.”

It is well known that Ashton and Demi had an open marriage and that Demi was more into women than guys. Demi is bisexual.

An “open marriage” is a recipe for a divorce waiting to happen. If these two had a open marriage how can Demi claim she wants to set an example for her daughters? Shouldn’t Demi have set the example for them by not having an open marriage in the first place? There is more to this story than we know & will probably come out in time…right now Demi seems to be trying to garner sympathy for herself. She needs to eat a sandwich or better yet a whole meal. She’s going to need her strength if anymore details continue to flow out about their so called marriage. IMHO, Ashton looks like a greasy smelly old goat…needs a bath, shave & his hair cut.

I mean not to sound like a know it all here, but when your in an OPEN MARRIAGE the two of you mutually decide that in both of your eyes, its not cheating. Although i do not agree with an open marriage or relationship, she still should have known what type of circumstances she was putting herself in. THey chose open marriage so that shouldnt be an issue here….i mean this article could be wrong and there is another reason that they are really splitting up…u never know!

OPEN marriage? What the hell is that? Why bother getting married if you want to be OPEN for other people? I mean getting married, you’d eventually have kids and what would your children think if you’re not faithful with your husband/wife? :/

Those women did not ruin the marriage, he did. His cheating caused the troubles, it is never right to blame the women he went with it. He chose to go there, they did not force him. If he is too weak willed to resist, he should not be married. The old and lame excuses must sound like out of tune violins to those who hear it time and time again. This is nothing new, they all go in the same direction, off with someone else on the side.

Good for you Demi. And your right it doesn’t mean that you don’t love that person, but when it’s time to go it’s time to go. So many people know nothing about boundries, respect, truth, and being faithful and commited to your marriage. The trust has been broken. I can understand the first slip, but not the second! How can you say you’re sorry the first time and turn around and repeat the same course. I myself am walking down the isle of divorce, and what I have found out is that some men are not marriage material! Not to bash men, but I’m sure that you too know that some women are not marriage material also. The wisdom is to know the difference between the two. What that means is loving someone and doing the right thing for yourself, and the children if there are any involved. Love doesn’t stop on a dime, we can stop the insanity and one day be a peace….It’s a process.
