What a disappointment! They have ruined what could should have been a great movie! I love Twilight but the new director has turned it into a cheesy soap. I hope they sort it out for part 2.

I can’t believe how disappointing this movie was. I am a huge fan of the saga, but they let me down this time. There was no excuse for the directory to go off course and stray from the book. Don’t get me wrong, it had its few moments here and there through out the movie, hut over all, I think it had too much CGI, the wolves weren’t as big, as in new moon and eclipse, and the whole telepathic talking to each other was completely ridiculous. I hope they make up for it in the second part.

I just got back home from seeing Breaking Dawn Part 1. I have read all of the books many times and have also seen all of the movies. I love them both equally but I am VERY dissapointed with this movie. I expected so much more from this movie and I pray that Part 2 makes up for this nonsense of a film. Don’t get me wrong, there were some scenes that I liked but they were few and far between. And seriously…where did that fight between the werewolves and the Cullens come from? Come on guys…make me fall back in love with the Twilight Saga in Breaking Dawn Part 2!!!!

Critics got it right this time! I took my young teens. They are such fans! They deserved the closer to PG rather than the closer to R version. A shot of Edward and Bella in the lake and a cut to the ravaged bedroom would have sufficed. It also would have been better not to show the bloody table after the delivery. My girls also hated the visual of the pack talking while they were wolves. I am really disappointed. It could have been so great with a few minor tweaks! We won’t be seeing it again or buying it. I cannot recommend it to anyone! Sorry fans! Let’s hope Part 2 rocks and then our collection will just be 4 movies instead of 5. I can’t believe Stephanie Meyer was okay with this.

I am a fan, a true fan. But really you need to put that aside and really give your honest opinion. There is no way, you can say that this movie is good, or even close to the book. Be honest this movie is boring!!

Breaking Dawn was by far the most amazing out of all the movies thus far. I think that the movie critics are compeletely wrong. They were just trying to find something wrong with it.

I love the books and the previous movies. Edward and Bella did not look as good in this movie as the others. They were too skinny and there makeup made them look ragged as opposed to elegant.

I already knew beforehand this movie would be panned by critics. There are many scenes in this movie that would require more than a PG 13 rating but to keep it at that they really had to toned down the long awaited INTIMACY(In- TO-ME-YOU-SEE) scene and the birthing scene as well. Most movies with such scenes as these would be a rating R which the author did not want this. I found the movies refreshing for not showing physical intimacy as sexual that it can be just an intuitive connection as they say how it goes meeting your” soul mate” is truly like. Other issues, the books are really not written well lets be honest here. Twilight is just a beautiful and romantic story with lousy dialogue. The first Twilight I thought was the best one yet! Kristen Stewart is already a solid, talented and versatile actress who is going to be around for a very long time! The rest of them sadly to say not for sure yet and Taylor Lutner is to young to be playing a leading action hero just because he has the build! Mr. Lutner is in for a huge let down….

Well, to say the movie is melodramatic is actually a compliment since we are exploring a fantasy here…not some real life drama. What do you expect? I love Twilight…highly emotional and gets us to think about relationships we have quite differently.

Sandy,I think you are right! I feel the author wanted the public to think about interpersonal relationships thats why she left out the sex scenes until marriage! Iam looking forward to the marathon tomorrow night!

I to don’t listen to the Reviews, I mean I’ve watched movies that I liked and they the critics didn’t, they seem to find reason to ruin something that you enjoy. I think that what the people like is what counts first, not what critics think. I have read all 4 books and have watched and bought all the movies, I am looking forward to next years movie to. I always decide what I like, not what the reviews say, I’m sure I will always re-watch and enjoy these stories for years to come, I didn’t go to see these movies because I thought the actors and actresses were cute.

Problem is that twilight series is flawd by storytelling and plot holes The actors used their looks to try to do the acting for them. And for those who say twilight is flawless. Prbkem s that for three books you built up a climatic battle and ended with a oh i am sorry welll we will go ending is a let down. Bottemline is this flawed story telling and actors who use their looks to get by never get good reviews.

I am 35 and I loved all 4 books and have loved all 3 of the previous movies. Although I wish the original Twilight would have followed the book more. However BD was my favorite out of the series. I usually hate movies that the critics rave about, and love the ones they hate. So this must mean this one is going to be awesome. I have been giggling like a little school girl all week! Have never been a fan of Stephen King books and I feel those who are no fan of Twilight have no feel for romance and fantasy. Its a fairy tale. No need to pick it apart. I will read and watch them over and over and over and over! lol!

I completely agree xxx I have been to see Breaking Dawn today and it was amazing, VERY close to the book (though of course they couldn’t get it all in, that would have taken way longer and I think they cut out the egg / omlette scene – should be on the DVD later)

Critics are doing my head in, who are they anyway and why do they think they can decide what is good or not. Why can’t they look at good and bad points and then sum up who they think might enjoy watching the movie.

Huzzah!Right on the money about all these movies. How awful are they? They can’t even get the titles right, a saga is a series of events that occur over decades, not even close to what these stinkers portray. Granted sitting through any of them feels like an eternity but that isn’t the same thing.

I think they have an agenda! Its a conspiracy. OR, there could be somewhat of a relative consensus among some studied film critics that the acting in the movie is rather questionable. It couldn’t be the possibility that these movies simply suck all around now could it?

Who cares what the critics think on Breaking Dawn-do you
think the fans of the movies think what the critic’s say?
the answer is NO- we have been waiting for this movie for
longer than a year- let the fans review the movie-
so critic’s instead of being negative- join in the fun
of the movie-if you loved these movies- you wouldn’t be
so negative!!!!!!!!!!!

@ true fan – a Twi-hard who is trying to shut up someone who disagrees with them and you it to extremes. Dollar bet if Breaking Dawn doesn’t get any Oscar nominations, especially in major categories, a swarm of Twilight fans will be sending death threats to the Academy members. The Academy will probably throw Summit and the fandom that bone to avoid that nightmare (as well as get younger viewers to watch the broadcast).

Twilight has NEVER been nominated for ANY oscars…so what was the point if that reply? We as Twi-Hards know that that’s never gonna happen, but we love the movies all the same

Any who, I absolutely enjoyed the movie. When fans walked into that movie theater last night, we knew exactly what we wanted out if this movietheater and it was SPOT on! I enjoyed it very much! It was everything I expected and more. The critics can shove there reviews because REAL Twi-Hards will love this movie for what ut is

I have never liked critics and never will listen to anything they have to say. The true testiment of whether or not a movie and its actors have done it’s job are the fans. The Twilight saga and its cast have mesmorized and touched fans of all ages around the world. When someone can go to the movies and see three generations of females from the same family going to a movie together it speaks volumes. I work in a large office buidling and it’s like high school again around here with BD coming out next weekend! I got sucked into the world of Twilight by one of my coworkers who happens to be a grandmother. The Twilght saga has done something amazing and critics will never understand it.

The critics can say what they want really. They are never happy and are known for it. If Twilight wasnt liked it wouldnt have made the millions it did. The critics i imagine havent even read the books. Enough said. And yes, it had to be split. If anyone has read the breaking dawn book, they will know its the longest book of them all with far too much in it to put in one film without missing key points in the storylines. There was more in breaking dawn book than the last book of harry potter!! (But what can you expect the potter fans to say when they havent read the twilight books?!) This film is set to make millions and millions. And the next installment, even more. I imagine this will be bigger than harry potter, but then again harry potter has had its time. Considering it started 5 odd years before twilight. Now that series dragged.

As someone who read all of the books in boths series, I’m gonna have to disagree. Breaking Dawn didn’t need to be split. Just because it’s a long book doesnt mean it has to be split. There was no where near enough content in it to be made into two movies. I’m sure Twilight fans will love it, but there is no way that it will draw any new fans to it because nothing exciting happens. Wedding, honeymoon, pregnancy. That’s basically all that will be in this movie. There aren’t that many ‘key plot lines’ in this book, and the final installment has all this build up that results in nothing. Harry Potter, however, did need to be slplit. If you had read that series you would know that. There is also no way it will do better than Harry Potter. It doesnt have as wide spread of an audience as Harry Potter does. If you’d like to talk about a dragging series…how about Twilight! I used to love the books, until the movies came out. Then I reread the books to see if it was as ridiculous as the movie made it seem to be. It was. Stephen King is completely right in saying Stephenie Meyer can not write.

If you think that way you were never a real fan which means that your opinion does not matter. We dont care if it does better than Harry Potter or any other movie that a non-fan would consider to be better!! Stephen King is just made that now he has to share his fame!!! Stephanie Meyers is the bomb EAT IT AND LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

I read Stephen King and I love him. But I am pissed at what he said about Stephenie. I read Meyer and they are different. Art is not meant to be restricted by rigid rules, ideas and expectancy. Art should be allowed to take every form..whether conventional or none. That is exactly what Stephenie does…she allows it to break the rules of so-called perfect prose or ideal prose. Stephen is a good writer and so is Meyer. I love ‘em both and I enjoyed twilight and the movies…if only we can learn to look at a piece of art at its own grounds.

i’m a harry potter fan and yes, i’ve read all teh twilights and didn’t like it. and if you had to read the book to enjoy the movie, that doesn’t make a good movie. the movie is meant to be good as a film not as an addition to the books. none of the twilight have made anything near the lowest grossing potter film, and this one won’t either. the newest potter is the 3rd highest grossing film of all time and i really doubt that twilight will be bigger. harry potter 7 had a lot more in it the breaking dawn, and it didn’t drag as it was a series that spanned over 7 years and was stilled loved by millions.

My guess is they’re being completely honest. There was no reason for Breaking Dawn to be split into two movies. With Harry Potter, the split was necessary because there was just too much information to be shown in one 2 or 3 hour film. But Breaking Dawn doesn’t have enough content to be split into two. Not to mention it builds up to absolutely nothing! Worst book in the series in my opinion. However, the twi-hards will see it and love it no matter what the critics say and no matter how crappy the movie is. Just look at the other three for proof of that =)
