Ashton is profusely apologizing to his eight million Twitter followers for protesting the firing of Penn State football coach Joe Paterno — Ashton says he didn’t know the full story!
Ashton Kutcher shall tweet no more! The Two and a Half Men star is incredibly upset with himself after tweeting that he was angry that Penn State fired their long-time coach Joe Paterno. But little did Ashton know that the 84-year-old coach was at the center of a sex-abuse scandal involving young boys.
“As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed,” Ashton tweeted. “I feel awful about this error. Won’t happen again.”
This is what Ashton had originally tweeted when he learned the coach was leaving his post as head coach after 62 seasons at the university.
“How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.”
Ashton and his wife Demi Moore have both been advocates in spreading awareness on the international epidemic of human sex-trafficking.
“As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation,” Ashton also tweeted. “I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case.”
This is the second grievous Twitter error Ashton has made in the past few months. On Sept. 11 he called it the “greatest day of the year” in reference to the beginning of football season.
