The people have spoken — and they love The Vampire Diaries. Despite being left off the first round of general nominees for the 2012 People’s Choice Awards, enough TVD fans rallied together to write in four very epic nominees: Nina Dobrev for Favorite TV Drama Actress, Ian Somerhalder for Favorite TV Drama Actor, and The Vampire Diaries for Favorite Network TV Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show!
Not only are congratulations in order for Ian, Nina and the show itself, but this is just another example of what a ridiculously dedicated fan base The Vampire Diaries has. No matter which Salvatore brother you think Elena belongs with, there’s one thing we can all agree on: This show is perfect.

I love the show dearly, but Ian, and the show were in all of their categories. Nina was the only (and first) write-in vote that made it onto the ballot.
