Lindsay checked herself into jail on Nov. 6, but was released due to ‘overcrowding’ — is this completely unjust?
Luck is on Lindsay Lohan‘s side. The 25-year-old was sentenced to 30 days in jail after admitting she violated her probation, but her 30 days in jail turned into just 4.5 hours! After turning herself into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., at 8:48pm PST on Sunday night she was released at 1:30AM PST, according to TMZ.
Lindsay waived her right to a hearing on Nov. 3 when the judge sentenced her to 30 days in jail along with 53 days of community service at the morgue. Lindsay was given one week to turn herself in, and in that time she completed another Playboy shoot and reportedly crashed Leonardo DiCaprio‘s J. Edgar Hoover premiere after party.
Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore said there was a slight chance Lindsay would spend the night in jail, but that if there were several inmates checking in at the same time, Lindsay would be released.
Lindsay will now begin her extensive community service. If she violates any terms of her probation she will be thrown back in jail to serve her remaining 270 days without the option of house arrest.
