Bye, bye Disney Channel! Going makeup free with wet hair, Selena Gomez looks gritty and sexy in this hot new photo from Interview Magazine – a total change from her All American good girl image. 

Dressed in a black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, the 19-year-old starlet is glancing down into the camera lens and looks more like Michelle Rodriguez, then her usual cheerful self. This weekend, Selena is hosting the 2011 EMAs and we can’t wait to see what kind of stops she pulls out.

She is looking great. This picture is showing that she is moving into new territory at her own pace, and not shoving her new look down the throats of the public. She does really look amazing.

Really? Where have you been? This is her standard, “I’m trying to look hot, but I’m really just being generic” look. Take a look back at several of her “serious” poses in past photoshoots. Not only is this nothing new at all, it’s not even close to sexy or edgy. It just looks like she’s dazed and confused…or trying to use the force. I’m not saying she’s not moving more and more into adult territory. She definitely is. But this photo is not proof of it, imo.
