The stars of the TLC reality show were so joyful over the pregnancy of their surrogate, but they’ve since received heartbreaking news — their surrogate miscarried.
In an interview with People, The Little Couple stars Dr. Jennifer Arnold and husband Bill Klein shared their reaction and their struggle to become parents. “I cried my eyes out,” Jennifer said. “I deal with families who lose their babies and I will cry with them, but I thought I would be stronger. Nothing can completely prepare for all that when it is about you.”
Jennifer and Bill both have skeletal dysplasia, a bone growth disorder that causes dwarfism. On their show, they’ve shown their struggle to become parents. Having a child is a huge danger to Jennifer’s health, so they opted for a surrogate.
Although their joy at becoming pregnant has now become sadness over the loss of the child, Jennifer and Bill want to continue pursuing surrogacy and adoption. “Bill was a rock, and he held me through everything,” Jennifer said. “By the next morning, I realized that I needed to try again.”
The couple is grateful they have each other for support. “We are so in love with each other and supportive of each other that we are going to be okay,” Jennifer told People. “We really want to be parents, and that is the goal here through surrogacy and adoption. We are not done trying yet.”
Such sad news! HollyMoms, would you keep trying like Jennifer and Bill are?

I am keeping Bill and Jen in my prayers. I’m so sad for their loss. I have followed their show since the beginning and I was getting very excited for them in anticipation of their new baby. Hopefully they will soon find the perfect little bundle of joy through adoption to love and give a wonderful life to. I wish them Love and Light.
