In her new blog, Teresa reveals what her family was like before Melissa joined the ‘RHONJ’ cast and how the dynamics have changed since that day!
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice admits it has been hard to deal with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga ever since Melissa joined the RHONJ cast. All throughout season three, Teresa attacked Melissa for her every little move. Now, Teresa claims in her new Bravo blog that Melissa’s fame-hungry attitude destroyed the family!
“Family is everything to me,” Teresa writes. “If my only brother [Joe Gorga] was married to someone who didn’t crave the spotlight, I know we’d all be a family like we always were.”
The drama didn’t start until Melissa started filming. “Before that christening — the first time Joey and Melissa filmed the show — my family had never, EVER been through any kind of drama even close to this,” shares Teresa.
Teresa knew from the onset that Melissa’s presence in the cast would cause major issues. “I told [co-stars Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita] how upset and betrayed I felt that Melissa and Kathy [Wakile] joined the show behind my back,” says Teresa. “I told them how worried I was that it was going to do to my family what it did to their family.”
The season finale explosion was crazy to Teresa. “It was clear pretty quickly that everyone was out for my blood,” she notes. “I don’t know why. I really can’t keep up with it anymore. One day Melissa is at my house for dinner, the next day she’s saying we don’t speak.”
“If I could go back in time, I would gladly give Melissa my spot on the first season so she could live out her dreams,” says Teresa. “And I would be happy to sit on the couch and cheer her on, with my happy, intact family around me.”

Melissa is younger, has a better figure, is more beautiful, has a happy marriage and much sweeter, better behaved children. Of course Teresa is jealous. The singing oppurtunity and Joe being attracted to Melissa and congratulating her at the performance were just too much for her I guess. Her insane jealousy drove her to do something so low she lost the friends she DID have. Family being important to her is total B.S.

Juicy Joe does Teresa. Never have I heard Albert, Joe Gorga,
or Kathy’s husband call her stupid, tell her to shut up,
call her family members faggots and other horrible names.
It’s respect and Juicy Joe does not treat Teresa as an
equal, but like an idiot and she acts like one. So don’t
get it twisted, I don’t think you can love someone and at

Melissa is not without fault-none are. Teresa was put in a very difficult position, during a very difficult time and considering the circumstances handled things the best she could. Melissa had no problem walking all over her during that time to get to where she wanted to be.
IMO, and what may be others that watched this season and saw Melissa running around in her fat suit, the envy is Melissa’s. Clearly, she needs (and desired) what fame and the spotlight Teresa had and desired it for herself.

You can tell that Melissa and Joe Gorga only care about the fame because why in the first place would they join the cast. They were so envious of Teresa that they had to go audition. You can tell that those families only care about competing with one another. I reaaly like Teresa and her family and I believe she is just hurt with all the backstabing. Also Caroline stop hating on Teresa if you have problems with your sister Dina that is your problem anf stop blamming other people for them. I believe that you overeacted with the comments teresa wrote in her book. it was obvious that all the ladies are hatters because teresa last year had financial problems and know is doing good.

The common denominator here is Joe Guidice. Teresa feels the
need to dislike Melissa because Joe dislikes her brother.
Teresa has no mind of her own and takes direction from her
husband. Juicy Joe disrespects Teresa and she in turn does
the same to the other castmates. Teresa marriage is not what
she wants us to believe. There is a disconnect between her
and Juicy Joe and that we don’t see in the other marriages.
Teresa constantly begs for approval, validation, and love
from Juicy Joe. It’s never given willingly on his part. Teresa is jealous because she see’s this in the other’s
relationships and not hers. Also, why does Teresa feel that
Melissa and Kathy needed here approval in advance of them
coming on the show. She’s not producer. I find it next to
impossible to believe that Teresa didn’t know Bravo was
considering Melissa and Kathy for the show and that it was
in some way done backstabbing her. Teresa needs the attention from the show ( she doesn’t get it from Juicy
Joe) it seems for her very survival and her other family
members presented and clear threat to her. Melissa and Kathy
have no reason to be jealous of Teresa. Who would be? The
woman has allowed her husband to put the family in near
financial ruin. Teresa is not charming and lacks even the
minimal social graces. It’s all about Teresa. A person that
is not happy in their marriage, acts out as she does because the anger is misplaced. If you take Juicy Joe out of
the picture, I think Teresa could be a better person, but
she needs a realtiy check as to where to vent her anger.
Juicy Joe continues to fuel Teresa’s anger to keep the spotlight off of what he’s been doing. He keeps Teresa distracted while engaging her in this discord and she’s too one dimentional to see it. This is not about a cookbook, being a stripper, heritage, or any of the other nonsense. It’s Juicy Joe and his control and disrespect of Teresa. He treats her like she’s stupid because she acts like it. Teresa needs to put hubby in check and stop feeding on all the misplaced BS. I hope she wakes up sooner than later because she’ll need her family when Joe screws up again.

You must not be married. No marriage is perfect, and some are more difficult depending on who your with. Teresa however is madly in LOVE with Joe Guidice. It is so apparent that she loves her life. She loves being a mom, and also loves writing her cookbooks. She’s SO busy with these things and really isnt overly concerned with what Melissa is doing. However Melissa is overly concerned with every single thing that Teresa is doing, saying, and even talks about things that are none of her business. Even taking shots at Joe Guidice. I dont think you are watching the same show.

I noticed that too- about Melissa always having something negative to add about someone that’s her family- every possible chance. During the reunion she belittled her throughout. Give it a rest. Melissas riding her coattails and can’t even stand to bs somewhat nice. She throws Teresa under every possible chance. It’s shameful- yet, she has NO Shame! Its “public knowledge” that she got where she is by agreeing to bring her family drama to the forefront- she admitted it herself on Regis and Kelly. Now, she’s playing innocent and acting as if she wants nothing more than to repaiir the damage (she’s done).
Why not give up the act already? Oh ya,? If one more person buys it and does not like Teresa she feels like she won. What a beautiful person!

You guys must be on crack! Tereasa attacks Melissa every chance she gets, the reunion it may have been Melissa digging at Teresa but how long can you hold it in for? Melissa has done more than her fair share to be “civil” with Teresa. I think you guys must only watch it when Melissa doing the digging and obvious havent watched it when Teresa was doing all the bashing!

When Teresa’s husband was talking bad about Kathy, her brother, & Melissa. Why didn’t she stop him and say, “Don’t talk about my family that way”. Melissa is jealous of Teresa’s because she is the star of the show. Im not sure if Teresa is jealous of melissa but she certainly makes her mad. I think it’s because of Melissa’s behavour on the show and attitude. Melissa craves attention and her husband joe is blind to it. He loves to show off Melissa because it lifts his profile on the show. If not for his wife joe’s part in the show would be boring. With that said they love each other.

Melissa is the troublemaker. She is so jealous of Teresa. The sad thing is she is still talking badly about Teresa to others instead of keeping quiet. She’s good at manipulating people to think she has good intentions, but she has been complaining about Teresa not only to her husband Joe Gorga but to everyone she knows. Uhhhhhh…..what show were YOU watching? If it weren’t for Melissa, Teresa’s brother (MELISSA’S HUSBAND) wouldn’t have made ANY effort to reconcile or even speak to Teresa ESPECIALLY after the christening fiasco. Next…seems like TERESA is the one ALWAYS throwing some sort of jab at Melissa. NO ONE ELSE ON THE SHOW had a problem with the Gorgas BUT Teresa and her husband…and I wonder why. Who’s jealous of whom? I think it’s actually the other way around. It seems the only time Melissa speaks about Teresa is if OTHERS bring the issues up, and yet, she has only been MOST candid about things with her husband who yes just so happen to be Teresa’s brother…but who else should a wife talk to if not her husband? She can’t help that her husband’s brother is Teresa. Frankly with the whole bankruptcy issues and her questionable spending habits thereafter, she smiles until it hurts but she is truly stressed and PISSED that her brother and oh yes MELISSA seems to still be living a very COMFORTABLE existence in comparison….seems Teresa made life all about competition long before RHONJ…period.

It would appear that way, if you started watching the last half of the season, but the fact is Melissa was the instigator. Teresa was just busy living her life with all of it’s ups and downs, while Melissa was obsessed with jealousy and anger and couldnt wait to get on the show not only for her career but to bad mouth Teresa and Joe Guidice. Teresa never talked about Melissa –until after being attacked at the christening, and the Gorgas were talking about her negatively in every interview; while Teresa only mentioned her occasionally. Oh and if you cant stand your in;laws its not ok to bash them to everyone you talk to. That shows shes not thinking of her husband and his family but only thinking of herself.

When Joe lost it at the Christening, Melissa knew she had gone too far. She was the reason Joey lost it because she had been complaining to him about Teresa so much and she knew she had a lot to do with Joey losing it. He loves Melissa. So after that happened she switched and tried to fix it.

Her nationality would me American. The nation she is from. Do you mean her ethnicity? She said on the reunion show that her entire life she has been asked if she was half black. When I first saw her I thought she was a black girl. I’m mixed racial and I thought for sure something was up, but she claimed that she is 100% Italian. Italians can be very ethnic looking. I have Italians in my family.

oh, please. melissa is too busy to write a blog? that’s because she went on a two week bash Teresa fest with Caroline Manzo after the finale, she bashed teresa every chance she gets on twitter and to the press. they all threw daggers at teresa at the reunion and none of them were asked about the bashing they did TO and ABOUT teresa. teresa wrote about the reunion and how she felt about the things the other ladies said. it seems to be okay for melissa, joey, kathy, caroline & jacqueline to constantly bash teresa when she has not said ONE word about them until this blog. and no, she didn’t admit that she wished her brother married someone else for her to walk all over — she wished her brother didn’t marry a fame hungry monster who would throw their family under the bus for their 15 minutes of fame. period. and the difference between teresa and melissa is that teresa never went on the show to bash her family or throw them under the bus for fame. that’s what melissa and kathy did. in case you missed it, teresa spent the first 2 season keeping her mouth shut about ANY family drama she had because she didn’t want to air her dirty laundry.

Teresa is going to be on Apprentice? Wow. Usually the contestants are educated or have some experience with business. I think The Donald is guilty of loving hype. I use to love Apprentice, then I didn’t, but when they started with Celebrity Apprentice, that seemed to be more satisfying than with the original format of unknowns. This is going to entertaining. I don’t know why Teresa allows these ratings mongers use her this way because Teresa is not bright nor educated. We’ll see how she does as project manager. OMG. Maybe she can pull it off. But I fear she’ll just be made to look like a fool again, like on Bravo.

As someone who has family issues so similar to Teresa’s I understand her. I like her and I really can’t understand how others can comdemn her and not all the other ladies also? They ALL were shameful in one way or anyother, some more than others. Caroline to me was the worse, but only because I really admired her and then her true colors came out this season, so to me that made it worse. Kathy is just a nasy two faced cousin who wants attention and Melissa can’t see past her herself.
So all in all I perfer Teresa out of all the ladies. If I had my way Teresa and Jaq would make up and have a show without the others “ladies”.

Hey, Hollywood Life, why don’t you get a REAL reporter who can actually write something truthful without twisting people’s words around and do so without being biased. Teresa did nothing wrong; her family came onto the show full swinging with the intention of bashing her for their 15 minutes of fame. FACT. Teresa is allowed to defend herself from people who throw her under the bus because their career are nowhere as successful as Teresa’s. Yeah, I’m sure Teresa is “so jealous that Melissa is younger and prettier.” That’s why Melissa imitates Teresa and basically tried to steal the life and friends Teresa had. It’s obvious that Melissa wants to be famous and she did it at whatever cost it took even if it meant throwing her family under the bus and airing their dirty laundry. If Melissa wanted to keep the family together and make peace, why did she feel the need to come onto TERESA’S SHOW, bash her on the show, in the press, in her blogs, etc… then continue to throw Teresa under the bus at the reunion? They all preach a big game about family and loyalty yet NONE of them exhibits one ounce of loyalty to their family. Melissa is no victim and she’s certainly not innocent.

Agree! Next Melissa will be trying to meet the Donald and get on Celebrity Apprentice! Just look at her sisters, and you can see where Melissa comes from, and it ain’t the life she lives now! She is a fraud and a troublemaker, and Kathy is as broke as the rest of them, and now Jac and Chris are broke too. Caroline is a liar and a fraud, but she at least has finally shut her mouth. Now let’s hope the rest of them do too.

Who cares if Melissa is a couple/few years younger? That just sounds immature and a lot like Melissa. The one driven by jealousy appears to be Melissa. This woman feels no remorse and belittles her husband sometimes the way she does Teresa (all the time to her). She treats him as if he was stupid. I’m humiliated for them.
