Our trip to Hawaii … my oh my, how the tides have turned and not in my favor! I had hoped at least one of the girls would be happy to admit what they had said about each other, along with the smorgasbord of BS that was going around the group. I will be the first to admit I did have my hand in stirring the pot, so to speak, but not with any ill intentions. I believe in putting ALL the cards on the table. Unfortunately, that’s not the way the whole thing played out.
I’m so glad I have tough skin and a strong support system around me at all times. I would have been a real mess if I had to face five screaming demons all united against me (I’m just one person). But hey, we shall see. Big things come in small packages …
We went surfing! Of course my fear of sharks had me afraid of the water, but I could not let the girls down and not get in the water. So off I went, shower cap and all, to avoid getting my hair wet. Gloria later commented that my cap embarrassed her, which made me laugh. Gloria is the best at speaking her mind at times, and it’s always with the best intentions it seems.
OK, so I don’t eat pig! Big deal right? Well you would have thought that the girls could have been a little more compassionate on our first night there. I was in tears because I felt like I was tricked into eating the pork! The girls were not amused, but I didn’t care. I was very emotional and upset. We eventually got past it though because Imani was amazing with her care and concern for what I was going through. I will never forget that. Laura’s “funny dance” did lighten the spirit when the girls and I found ourselves a little uptight … the tension was thick amongst us.
Here we are in Hawaii, a place where I used to live (and I loved). I just wanted to enjoy some relaxation in the sun with good friends, but hell no. That was not to be! There was not only Imani and Laura‘s beef that was still unresolved, but there was also a deep brewing undercurrent that was felt by all of us at one time or another.
I must say Gloria was the only one staying out of the drama at first, but that soon changed as soon as the culprit began to put her spin factor in motion. But hey, like I have said before, I’m not here to toss anyone under the bus. I say that I live and learn and I have no anger or animosity towards the girls. They are just being themselves, and who am I to judge?
Once the actual meeting/talk, whatever you want to call it, took place on the beach with Laura and Imani, that’s when true colors became apparent across the board. I had to accept at that moment what was unfolding.
The confrontations that insued after were mind blowing to me because I felt like we were all friends and that was the time to be 100% honest, put the truth out there and stand up and be adults no more hiding. Stay tuned is all I can say.

Laura you are a bully they need to take you off the show , you are a homewrecker and all of you were talking about each other you just got mad when jackie started spilling the beans and none of you knew really knew whay each other said so I agree with Jackie if who said what lay it all out everyone should get them skeletons out the closet. WOW, Really Jackie??? You were so very nervous about Laura and Imani finding out what you said to each other because you knew that they would find out that you were talking about them. You looked like the fool that you really are, insecure and just stupid! By the way the word is “ensue” Its obvious that you’re uneducated by the way you speak, act and write. Just to think that CPS allows you to parent without supervision or Psych Meds.

Honestly, I started watching this series because it really makes me LOL in a room all by myself. If this show is for real, it is silly how they all allow Jackie to get in their small heads. It’s one thing to be a fool but to allow another chick to make one out of you is totally stupid! As for Tammy’s interview, she did WELL.

Tami from Basketball I, was a great interviewer, this girl need her own show like Wendy Williams. Tammy’s got skills.
As for Jackie, I think Jackie has manic depression after all she suffered a huge loss of her mom and this acting out my be in misdirected rage or depression,

Laura has some anger as she’s said but she is also a sweet girl. She fought malaysia bcuz malaysia made a comment laura took direct offense to (by the way most of that fight was not shown on tv, malaysia did not beat that a**) & laura had a major problem with draya bcuz draya slept with the father of her kids…that wasn’t shown either but that is why draya was apologizing to laura outside at a park on an earlier episode…i read that will be brought up on the reunion.

Laura is not the problem. It seems Laura admitted to saying some very “petty” things about jackie & i doubt she was being malicious. Laura spoke of imani inviting her to
parties a day too late or whatever it was bcuz her & gloria were discussing the tension laura was feeling from the other girls & laura was explaining that was the only thing she ever mentioned regarding imani & it was in a joking way.

The first sign of trouble in Paradise was the bus ride to the hotel. Everyone else could laugh at their own annoying catch phrases except Jackie. She had to suck the life out of the whole bus.
Jackie loves to be the center of attention if she’s not she manufactures it…gossip, ghetto shower caps & shark stories. Look, I don’t eat pork but there have been times when someone cooked food in pork or I somehow ate it unknowingly. I simply point it out and keep moving. All that drama was unneccessary. I’m not a fan of Laura or Imani either but Jackie is the only one I want off the show. Her next foray into reality TV should be with Dr. Drew.

I agree with you! Did you hear this crazy heffa say she was psychic? Ummm if you’re psychic, wouldn’t you have known you were about to eat pork before it went into your mouth. She know she eats pork,ribs,beef,chicken and everything else. Stop frontin!! Its ok,lol. I noticed how Laura and Gloria tried to act like they like Malaysia while they were venting to Malaysia about Jackie. At “NO” time did Laura or Gloria say to Malaysia that “yes, we were talking about how phony you act and how Gloria didn’t even want you on the trip at all. Instead Laura and Gloria put all the blame on Jackie, claiming that Jackie had been lying to everybody and gossiping. Gloria since day one hated Malaysia and her sister Laura was so jealous of Malaysia that she physically attacked Malaysia.
Laura and Gloria don’t know what the truth is. I see why Shaunie couldn’t remain friends with Gloria. Gloria tries to sweep everything under the rug. Like her sisters relationship with Shaq. Her sister jealousy issues. Her seperation from Matt Barns. Total Denial.

That sounds like Laura. Laura went on a gossiping spree and when the gossip made it’s way back to Jackie and Jackie confronted Laura then Laura pretended that she herself had planned on telling Jackie what she had said about her to her face. Jackie said “I shouldn’t have heard about this through someone else”. Laura says” yeah, and I didn’t mean for it to come back from that person”.
If Laura would admit to saying petty crap like “Jackie’s hair looks like a hat”. and “Jackie looks pregnant”. Why wouldn’t people question her loyalty. Gloria even verbalized that her sister has some anger issues that some psyche help might fix.
I still see Laura as the problem. Who has everyone had an issue with? Laura.

As a young lady I find it really sad to see one of the oldest women in the bunch (jackie) act so immature and unstable. Have some consistency in who you are. One night you are cursing Draya out and angry at here, the next day you tell you I love you and then talk about Laura?! Everytime you guys meet you bring up the issues between others. WHat makes you feel so entitled to know what two grown women are discussing?
I know what it is like to be misunderstood. I dont think you are bad person, its just I have to ask you what you asked Tonya, Who the f*** are you? I think you have been way to hot/cold with each girl….. either its editing or you are a really not seeing what the world sees

Jackie – I know you are trying to do damage control with your blog but it really is too late for that. The best thing you could have done is fall on the mercy of the court of public opinion – i.e., if you are trying to convince everyone that you have no responsibility in what took place in Hawaii and even before Hawaii. The court of public opinion often looks the other way when people become humble and simply say, YOU KNOW WHAT…I MESSED UP. The truth of the matter is that EVERYTHING is all your doing. The sad part is that you don’t even recognize it. You’re pointing the finger at everyone else but yourself. But every time the cameras pointed to you, you were off in somebody’s ear stirring up the pot. Laura and Imani sorted out their differences the right way. The matter was between the two of them and that’s how it should have been handled — between the two of them. No posse was needed. What they talked about, how they talked, what names came up, etc is not your business. You are not automatically entitled to know what’s going on in everybody’s life. It was their call as to whether or not they wanted to include you in their chat. Apparently they didn’t.
The biggest problem is that you are extremely insecure and that is very obvious. You say you have tough skin, but you really don’t. That’s just a facade for what’s really going on underneath. It’s your “Lionel blanket” if you will. All that cursing and talking about somebody is going to feel your wrath is your attempt to look tough to hide your true feelings.
Maybe I’m wrong, but what I see is a very frightened woman who is afraid of not being loved or of losing love and that plays out in your controlling behavior. You hold on too tight to people. And to ensure that they don’t slip away, you either create drama around them so that everyone will love you (Imani said it best) or you smother people to death. You really want to be the leader of the pack and have everyone look up to you. That could have been accomplished quite easily if you had taken a different route and had been somewhat of a mentor to the girls. They would have respected you to the hilt. But all that’s out the window now, and it will take a lot to turn that around. But it’s not impossible.
From what little has been seen, you seem to have grown up in a close-knit and loving family, so it’s a mystery as to why you have the insecurities that you have. I think it would be good to get some counseling because there is some underlying problem that needs to be mended.
PS: Do you really not know the difference between chicken meat and pork meat?? The texture and taste is quite different. Could the tears have been a ploy for love and attention?

Toletha, thank you for speaking the truth. Jackie is clearly the messing one of all the ladies. I’m so ready for each of the young women on this show to get as far away from Jackie as possible… she has serious problems, and apparently loves drama. I’m starting to wonder about her husband.

Doug Christie has not been shown a lot on the reality show, but, from what I have seen, I get vibes that he is a really nice, sweet guy and not neurotic like his wife, Jackie. Even a few of the facial expressions from Doug seem to say, REALLY JACKIE? Perhaps he just goes along with her silliness to keep the peace and because he loves her. But IMHO, the “every-year marriage” is like an affront to Doug. It kind of says, YOU ARE NOT TRULY COMMITTED TO ME. THIS MARRIAGE IS WEAK. But the real truth, of course, is that Jackie is seriously insecure. It’s her way of controlling and holding on to someone when simple love is sufficient.
One I DO is enough. It’s kind of endearing, however, when couples renew at their 25th year or 50th year. One can then say, WOW, THAT IS SO SWEET. THAT MARRIAGE IS SOLID AS A ROCK! And you don’t mind celebrating with them. But every year???? Wow!! Too, too much! Jackie leaves nothing to look forward to. And I bet some of those celebrating every year with them (probably feeling compelled to attend) have some of these same thoughts but don’t want to offend.
I really hope that Jackie gets some professional help.
