The Royal Family was a popular costume with the morning shows, but who pulled off the Royal Wedding best?!
On this Halloween spooky and scary were not the costumes of choice for the morning shows. Live With Regis and Kelly and The Today Show had the same theme in mind, The Royal Wedding.
Live With Regis and Kelly, with Nick Lachey sitting in for an absent Regis, is known for their festive costumes on Halloween. This year, amongst their several costume changes, was The Royal Wedding. The set was transformed into royalty with Kelly Ripa as a beautiful Kate Middleton and Nick Lachey as royal hubby Prince William. Even Art Moore, the show’s Executive in Charge of Production, made the perfect Queen!
The Today Show went all out as well, completely transforming Rockerfeller Plaza into Westminster Abbey. Matt Lauer and Ann Curry dressed as the happy couple Prince William and Kate Middleton, with Natalie Morales and Al Roker making the perfect siblings, Pippa and Harry. Meredith Vieira made a return appearance to the show to play Queen Elizabeth! And it was a perfect match to have the fourth hour’s own Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb play the sisters Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice!
