A source reveals the details of Kim’s night out celebrating another man’s birthday!
The signs that Kim Kardashian‘s marriage to Kris Humphries is over had been coming for a while. The night before she hosted her Midori Halloween Party in NYC sans Kris, Kim was spotted hanging out with handsome hotelier Vikram Chatwal at his private VIP birthday party at the Dream hotel in NYC on Oct. 28!

“She arrived with Vikram in a white Rolls-Royce at around 8:45,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “She did the carpet [and] she posed for pictures with him.”
But there’s nothing romantic between Kim and Vikram — who is separated from his wife Priya Sachdev, 35– assures the source. They are strictly friends.
“They met each other a few times and they saw each other recently,” the source explains. “He asked her if she would host it with him. They aren’t super close.”
Still, Kim’s marital problems with Kris didn’t seem to even cross her mind. ”She sat next Russell Simmons,” shares the insider. “She was lively in conversation with him [and others]. She even gave a toast like, ‘Let’s celebrate friendship, family.’ It was very standard.”
Kim “was smiling and she was laughing,” adds the source. “I didn’t get the the idea she was miserable. I saw her text once [and that's it]. She was engaged in conversation.”
The group first had dinner at Romera, a restaurant in Dream, before heading to the Electric Room at around 11:30. “I didn’t see her dancing, [but] she seemed to have a good time,” says the source. “She stayed for an hour or so and then then said goodbye to Vikram.”
On Saturday, Kim hosted her Midori Halloween party and we spotted her looking sad and distraught. Kim explained to Us magazine that Kris was absent from the shindig because he was in Minnesota.
