Chuck? Ben? Who is onto the women’s deadly secret? Let the guessing game begin!
If there was any doubt in your mind that the women of Wisteria Lane are secretly grown-up versions of the Pretty Little Liars, the Oct. 30 episode of Desperate Housewives solidified that fact. A night of tricks and treats ended with the season’s spookiest scene yet: Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Bree (Marcia Cross) and Gaby (Eva Longoria) running through the woods with flashlights — only to discover that Gaby’s stepfather’s body was missing!
But a missing corpse wasn’t the only source of drama in Fairview this week…
In an attempt to upstage Tom’s (Doug Savant) new girlfriend, Lynette paid a coke-head designer to whip up a Halloween costume for Penny; but her plan came up short — pun intended — when her daughter finally tried it on and discovered it was a little sluttier than she anticipated. And even though Tom’s new lady ended up saving the day, Lynette still warned her to back off. It’s official: This cat-fight is on!
Meanwhile, Susan (Teri Hatcher) was thrilled to win the coveted internship from her art teacher, but was quickly disappointed when she learned it was actually a glorified babysitting gig. She ended up convincing her teacher and his son to bond over a little trick-or-treat action, but I’ll be honest — I’m still waiting for Susan’s story line to become interesting.
Speaking of things getting interesting, Carlos’ (Ricardo Chavira) drinking problem is really becoming — well — a problem! Just when he thought he had things under control, he started hallucinating about Gaby’s stepfather, which led him straight back to the bottle.
And now we’re left with two things: an empty grave, and one very big question: Who dug up that body?!
