K-Stew says the media portrays her all wrong — we feel so bad!

Breaking Dawn star Kristen Stewart is adored by fans, but she says she has a reputation that’s simply not accurate!

Kristen, 21, says the media misinterprets her quiet demeanor for rudeness, France’s StarClub Magazine reports.

“I’m sometimes told I am a very distant and cold person,” she says. “In real life, I’m very shy. I feel uncomfortable during interviews because I need to talk about myself. But to talk about yourself, you have to know who you are. When it comes to that, I think there are still a lot of things I need to discover about myself.”

Aquarius, I just think you’re being a little harsh, but yes, you are entitled to your opinion. I give you credit to have the conviction to stand by it where everyone is against you.

But. . .

Kristen did apologize for the rape comment (Johnny Depp said the exact same thing, by the way and then apologized. No one thinks less of him.) Have you seen some of these paparazzi following them around? You should look of the youtube video of Rob in Malibu, it makes me sick. He gets upset. She gets mad. So she is more fiery tempered than some – it’s not a crime.

Twilight fans (some) are crazy. I would like to think that Kristen is nice to the young fans, and to the fans that are respectful. And from what I’ve seen, she is. The fact that she is alegedly dating Rob, some love it, but others are so jealous they want to tear her eyes out. Can you imagine getting death threats? I’d always wonder if I’m going to meet those people; I’d be terrified to leave my house!

If you look at her interviews, she is not impressed with herself. She doesn’t strut around like some prima donna. Some actors think the sun and moon sets on them, I don’t get that impression with her. You don’t see her doing a Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. And with the young girls, she said don’t take shit from guys and don’t settle. For young girls, this is a good message.

I think a lot of fans are jealous because of her relationship with Rob. But that’s another thing – if you think Rob is nice, Taylor is nice, and they obviously like her – is that all for publicity too? Do you really think she is such a bitch that poor Rob and poor Taylor have had to endure years of her endless torment and pretend to like her? No. Even for the franchise, Rob wouldn’t hang out with her (relationship or not) on his off time.

Has she made mistakes? Sure. But isn’t that what life is all about? Basically she is a good person and, I think, tries to do the best she can in a bizzare and trying situation. That’s not so bad, Aquarius. I think you should cut her some slack.

@jenny – I have a right to express my opinion. You have no right to threaten me physically. You come near me I will get law enforcement involved. I strongly doubt Kristen Stewart would post bail for you or pay for a lawyer in gratitude to your defense of her. Supporting someone who acts like you would damage her career. I hope the monitors are turning you in. And those who are attacking me you are simply validating the persception that Twilight fans are unstable.

@michele – of course they’re not going to say anything bad about Kristen. She’s a moneymaker for the moment so they’ll tolerate her foolishness. They are aware of the negative presceptions of her but to speak openly puts their own careers at risk. AND she is not a good role model: she does not take responsibility for her missteps. She’s showing young people as long as you are rich you can treat people like dirt and not have to answer for it. Kristen Stewart could be conspiring to plot a terror attack and kill millions and many will still worship her because of this movie and she is allegedly dating her co-star.

Please, you write the same stuff over and over again. I recognize the screen name. Hello, Johnny Depp and Mila Kunis both made inflammatory statements about the paps. No one is perfect. Rob Pattinson has said equally ridiculous things…I hate vaginas, for one, or saying pvssy every other sentence. He’s also appeared “out of it” and messed up an extremely easy joke on MTV and said mothereffer on live tv. Neither Rob or Kristen are perfect, but they seem like decent people. If either was really terrible, someone not associated with Twilight would have made a comment…i.e. Lea Michele.

I think Kristen is honest, and I like that about her. I think she has experienced things that few others have, and these sanctimonious cows that think they would never lose their temper, never say a thing out of line – well. All I can say is good for them for being so perfect.

I’ve never heard a bad word from anyone who has worked with Kristen, on the contrary, they all say she is down to earth, very professional to work with, very sweet, etc. She really cares that she does not let her young fans down, and that means a lot. These young Twilight fans, they idolize Kristen Stewart. And I think she’s given them a pretty good role model – believe in yourself. If for that alone, I will always stand up for her.

It seems to me like this is a blatant attempt to put Kristen through the firing squad. How easy it is to sit behind a computer screen and spew hatred, isn’t it? It’s also cowardly and, frankly, says more about the blogger than Kristen herself. I’m just glad to see that most people here are on her side.

@guest – You want to indulge her childish behavior that is your choice. She’s been around the block long enough to know how to conduct herself in public and to understand the politics of Hollywood. She grew up in the industry. HER AGE IS NO EXCUSE. Talent, which in her case is subject to debate, is not enough. One day her mouth will write a check her ass will not be able to cash, and it could end her career.

Come off it, Aquarius. You’re so silly, or do you think the public wouldn’t see through you? She was very young, shy, passionate and unpolished as far as dealing with the media was concerned. She wanted so much to say the right things why she came up with lots of pauses and disconnected sentences at times, because she knew she would be criticise for every effing word she said. But, of course, we weren’t all so savvy, like you, to say “violated” instead of “raped”, when the camera was pushed right in front of your face.
Taylor got an apology not because of his persona but the pressure that an openly gay Lance(who happened to be an influential person in Hollywood) put on the QC, and they did succumbed and apologised as it was not “politically correct”.
Kristen is admired by many young and not so young people, like me, and may be vilified by a few. I like and admire her for her simplicity and down-to-earth attitude. She shows more maturity unlike other young celebrities her age. One can see she is maturing beautifully.

It’s been three years since the franchise began and she still has to address her reputation? Wow. Let’s see what’s been written about K-Stew: flipping the bird while on a presser in Australia, the rape comment, alleged fights with female co-stars while filming Twilight to name a few. Some of the press may be unwarranted, but some of it was of her own doing. Even with some of the great magazine covers she’s received this year, she managed to cancel that out by saying her teachers failed her. I have never seen so many people blow up a blog’s comment section. People claiming to be educators really laid into her for that comment. KS still need more polish when dealing with the media to clean up her image once and for all. Taylor Lautner had that stupid question asked of him about being propositioned by two openly gay and powerful men in Hollywood, but he got an apology within 72 hrs. Say what you may about his acting but he obviously knows how to build up an image that an unfair statement can be met with backlash. To my knowledge no writer, magazine or blog has apologized for what they’ve written about her.

this is in reply to the comment of aquaruis64… Do you have any idea how many celebrities flip the bird to the paparazzi i could write a whole list and they are well know and respected A-list actors , you are talking about a girl between the age of 17 to about 20 was propelled into this crazy vortex know as “twilight” and the fans of these books are so ridiculous, it’s something that you will not be able to comprehend .. As you can see once again complete strangers are judging this young woman , none of you mainly the so-called fans know what is going on in their lives, and you will never know unless you put yourself in her shoes , she has been misquoted so many times just so these publication including this blog would get hits, so she made one mistake she use the wrong word to describe how she felt “being raped ” instead of “violated” , which to me is correct these vile “cockroaches’ are like a virus , they are intrusive , rude, and disrespectful . So if this happens to you every time you try to live your life i doubt you would be that courteous , and please do not tell me “she chose to be in the business and it comes with the territory BS ” ..No one deserves that kind of rudeness !! Her comments about teachers , some of them can be indifferent, i experience it with my daughter from some teachers , i guess she generalize it a bit ,some of them are there just in for a paycheck but not all, but that can be disappointing, so what she voiced her frustration big effing deal! .. Taylor is a nice kid , he is being molded by his parents to be the perfect movie star , he is prepped daily so he can say just the right thing like a product , hopefully one day his true personality and self will come out ..And from what i see and read about Stewart , she is herself , not a fake or a ‘hollywood barbie’, and that’s refreshing until you people actually live in that type of fake world you have no idea of what you are talking about .. we’ll see how nice you would be !!!Paparazzi needs more than just a middle finger because they to me are the scum of the earth !! No sympathy here!!!

I just think that Kristen is a liar she is worse than anyone I have ever met she says she is shy and all that but she is in the entertainment industry how does that work she is so good at pulling wool over our eyes that even Robert has fallen for it but you know the time will come when all the twilight hype has settled down and when everything else comes to the surface and alll of you will be shocke at how bitter and selfish this young actress is she wants everything for herself she is self arbsobent and this shows everytime she lies about he r shyness when in reality she is one of the most attention seeking people I hae ever seen.
