The superstar is hoping to leave behind the role that made her a sensation — are you surprised?

Breaking Dawn made Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart household names, but now K-Stew says she no longer wants to be associated with the role of Bella!

Kristen, 21, says she’s looking for roles that challenge people who think of her as just a damsel in distress, France’s StarClub Magazine reports.

“I’m getting to the point in my career where I feel the need to emancipate myself artistically,” she said. “Don’t get me wrong, I will never be ungrateful for what Bella & Twilight gave me. But it’s a natural evolution of my career.”

In her freakin’ dreams! She has zero talent. The Twilight movies are pure crap, have no artistic value whatsoever and have made good-for-nothing “actors” like this chick and her fugly boyfriend “stars”. There are hundreds of amazing actors with real talent in Hollywood and beyond…these losers will die out as soon as this Twilight hype fades.

Sarcasm !. honey the oscars are no normal awards!. the nomination isnt just made for fun!. the oscar awards are open fr both , the english flim industry and the indian flim industry!. every year dere r minimum 12 movei releses in both bollywood and hollywood!. you can imagine the numbr of actors assosiated with dese flims , among dose the finest of the finest are nominated fr oscars!. its not mtv awards ,dat ol d flims and actors get nominated!. and honey if u thought dat d following actors who won d oscars , dint deserve it , then its ur taste and liking , its nt oscars fault!. and dats what i am trying to tel u pple!. u remembr d deciding of good and bad pple depends on ones mentality!. !.

She will most likely succeed to whatever she put her mind ,energy and devotion to.Her other foot is already there,shes well known and well love everywhere,it is just a matter of one good well written movie that she’ll play and boom ,she’ll get her oscar.

I saw so many Oscar-won films, what was the worst, swa many Oscar-won actress/actor who got that because of nothing … There were more better films and Actresses/actors who deserved the Oscar and never got. I personally think Kristen already has a great career and it will only get better. Harrison Ford will always be remembered as Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Johnny Depp will always be remembered as Captain Jack Sparow and Kristen will always be remembered as Bella and she should be proud and honored to be associated with Twilight. Being remembered for a certain role is a sign of a great movie star. It means you’ve impacted fans in a unforgettable way. Isn’t that the whole point of being a movie star, to play a part that fans will never forget? I have no doubt she will make it beyond Twilight yet always be grateful for the success it gave her not to mention the adorable, goofey guy she’ll probably spend the rest of her life with! Your fans love you Kristen and can’t wait to see what you do next (SWATH)but you will always be our Bella.

God !! you people ” i have never heard of her until twilight ” you are not movie goer you idiots go see a movie for the good looking guy or girl not for the storyline i see people like you everyday , and i’m not a freaking teen!! i work at a movie theater as a manager , so the morons will go see dumb Sh*t like final destination “15″ and think its great… Really!! how many of you saw the “king’s speech” or “the help” you have a good actor Elijah Wood after LOTR he only make very small movies because they are better , just because a dumb movie makes a lot of money at the box office doesn’t make it good.. Transformers ? Valentine’s day? all the “Saw” Garbage movies !! i could go on.. A truly good Actor doesn’t spend their career making crappy movies for just the money , at one point they are into it to make a believable film like Clooney or Gosling or even Emile Hirsch i don’t see anyone giving them crap about their non-blockbuster movies… she never mentioned in all of her interviews that she wants to distance herself from Twilight the damn franchise is over the actors have to move on .. they can’t be stuck in this silly role forever , they said countless of time how grateful they are for the opportunity that it gave them , but at one point the lunatic fans have to let them go and be better , because they are actually talented , they just need a better story to tell .. @ Vicky, obviously, you dont know anything about Kstew or hollywood. Kristen makes movies that are critically acclaimed. These movies are usually low budget, and released at just a few theaters world wide. They never produce high ticket sales. You cant compare a big studio blockbuster with a small indie. Kristen is recession proof. She won a young rising star award at age 12 for Panic Room, also at age 19 won a Bapta the british equivilant to an oscar. Critically acclaimed actors win oscars sweetie and have long consistant, meaniful careers in hollywood, not the flava of the moment…

It’s BAFTA & it was public choice, that’s the only reason she won it – because 12 year old girls had the chance to vote…the academy would have laughed their arses off otherwise! She can’t act for shit, it was sheer dumb luck she got into a franchise like twilight, also…she’s a bitch. She’ll be on one of those ‘after they were famous’ shows one day…that’s about it!

They all need to run like heck from this when it is over. It will be a anchor around their necks. I appreciate how supportive the fans are, but it is becoming painfully obvious that the Twilight fans only want to see these actors in those roles. The MASSive fan base has not supported their other projects the same way. One would think that with that franchise making that kind of money that the fans would go to see them in other movies to help them. But they are not. So she is smart to see the writing on the wall. And if she and Rob every break up then it will again be interesting to see how that fan-base is divided.

She and the others need hits outside this franchise. And if you don’t think that has been why she and Rob have been getting roles you are sadly mistaken. Studio heads thought they could bring that bank to other projects. It has not happened. Same with Taylor. Why would he get a staring movie when there are way more talented actors his age. Because they thought the Twilight fans would come out. Well they again didn’t.

If they liked these people they need to get off the internet and blogs and go see the movies.

Cosign pja! She has sooo much more competition out there that in all honesty-are such better actors than she is. I knew who she was before Twilight, but I didn’t pay money to see her films. Since Twilight hit, cable has been showing her old film work and there’s nothing there that’s really worth watching-all box office flops.Panic Room is Jodie Foster’s hit film, not hers. All of her new releases where she’s trying to distance herself from “Bella” are box office flops. The only reason why she’s enjoying this wave of success is beacuase I and millions of others worldwide are fans of Bella and Edward. Both Robert and Taylor are enjoying box office success outside Twilight right now with WFE, RM and Abduction and do it by not alienating their Twilight fans-trash talking the roles that made them famous and quite wealthy.After Twilight, I will continue to enjoy and support Robert and Taylor’s careers, not Kristin’s.Kristin- don’t worry, that small group of supporters that you have will remain and you can return to those awful, sad, and depressing non profiting film roles that you are so fond of.

You see, Kristen was already getting movie roles, before Twilight. She even had some fans before Twilight. Of course it skyrocketed her fame and career. Even if she didn’t do Twilght, she’d still be an actress and get movie roles. So of course she’ll experience more success, *with* the fame, if she was still starring in films without it.
It’s unlike Taylor (who only starred in The Bernie Mac Show and Sharkboy and Lavagirl) or Robert (who was out of work and in debt when he got the part). Don’t get wrong I love them as well.

Wow. i’m not really concerned in her carreer, nor in the others in twilight… there are more talented actresses, actors, than that group. They would thank their dollar-millions for this love story, espec. for th first one. that was something new… the other films… suffering. I’m just curious, what they will do with the fourth book – that was the worst, and they made two something from that.

I do not personally know K Stewart & not a hater, but I think she needs to think before she speaks. She needs to develop a more gracious attitude that people really likes. Before TWILIGHT, she was virtually an unknown (I had never seen any of her work & I am a huge movie fan)so she should be thanking her lucky stars that she had this great opportunity. Distancing herself from TWILIGHT? Exactly what does this mean? Does she mean she no longer wants to be friends with the actors she has practically grown up with. If so, what an ungracious attitude! I heard just the other day from a friend that she wants to go see BD, but cannot stand the sight of Kristen Stewart. This Saga is told from Bella’s point of view, but she is not who people want to see. I am beginning to see my friend’s point. Sometimes it is not good to be “stand offish”. This would put a bad taste in one’s mouth immediately.

In response to k. & v., if you read my comments – I said I am not a hater of KStewart because I do not know her. I simply wanted to know why she would make a comment like this. Does she want different roles, distance herself from her TWILIGHT friends – just what? I have read all four books several times, gone to see the movies every other day until they left the theater, bought the DVDs & watched them as much or more than anyone. I also plan to go see BD numerous times, I will get the DVD, CD & I mentioned a friend did not like her, not me. Also, when you call someone a moron, you need to know them. I happen to be well educated & a decent, kind person AND I think before I say something I might regret. Others need to do the same since what I wrote was totally misunderstood.

I think you read the headline rather than the article. But it’s a natural evolution of my career.” That’s an incredibly smart answer. She’s grateful for the chance, but now that it is over it is time to move on. Do you want her to be doing twi-cons for the rest of her life? In any career, growth is a good thing.
