The dashing Puss In Boots and swashbuckling Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) are just the right amount of cute to entertain your kiddies, and clever enough to keep you amused!
While Puss In Boots may not rise to the level of hilarious that Shrek achieved, it totally will give you two happy hours in the dark.
We learn that Puss In Boots has had a tough kittenhood, raised in an orphanage with a loving caregiver but no family of his own. He becomes blood brothers with one of his fellow orphans, Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis), and the pair embark on an adventure or should we say misadventure in search of mythical magical beans and a golden goose ,but encounter betrayal and a beautiful feline – Kitty Softpaws. As you can imagine, the romance isn’t easy but it does lead to the movie’s terrific dance sequences. And there are several that are completely wonderful to watch.
It’s all lots of fun that’s perfect for kids age six and up. Younger than that and they might find the film too complicated to follow. And there is a surprisingly dark plot development at the end that I’m really surprised that the director chose to do.
Nevertheless, I give this film 3 paws! Have fun!
