Cate Edwards Bans Rielle Hunter Wedding

Cate banned her father’s mistress, Rielle Hunter, from her Oct. 22 nuptials, says a new report. But her dad’s love child, Frances Quinn, was allowed to join in on the celebration!

When Cate said her “I do’s” to high school sweetheart, Trevor Upham, she kept her mother, Elizabeth Edwards, in mind: Rielle Hunter would not attend the wedding.

“John had hoped that his two families could come together for this happy event,” a source tells the Enquirer. “But the last thing Cate wanted on her wedding day was to see her father’s mistress there – and she made it very clear to him that Rielle was not welcome.”

Elizabeth’s favorite flowers and poems were part of the wedding, too, the Enquirer reports. And Cate  planned the wedding with her mother before her death on Dec. 7 2010.

What do you think, Hollywoodlifers? Would you not invite your father’s mistress to your wedding?

cate did the right thing by not inviting reille to the wedding afterall it was her day and she had the right to say who she wanted there and who she did not care to have there.

Reading the nasty things she has written about Elizabeth Edwards. They should have invited her and beat her butt.

4Justice-we have to remember that the child did absolutely nothing wrong. As far as Rielle is concerned, who in their right mind would want that skank at the wedding?

Posted at 10:28 PM on October 26, 2011

Cate. Edwards did not invite her Dad’s mistresses daughter to the wedding.
He is in a major court case for using election money to provide his
Mistress money to a lavish lifestyle … He has a mug shot and still
Can ve sent to prison … Seeing how close Cate was to her Mom
She would not let his mistress who her mom hated or their basterd
Child to the wedding! How stupid is that Bonnie! What a flower
Girl.. cate and her mom did not want Reille daughter or her. John
Is not with her any more hope he gets sent to prison and his daughter
With Rielle has to see him behind bars!

This is sad but true! Of course it is not the child’s fault she is in the middle of this mess, but it would be disrespectful for Cate to invite Hunter and the child. It is not just a simple one night stand where Hunter wanted to respect the Edwards family; this is a woman without morals and character who is only after what she can get from John.Rielle would have started a ruckus and ruined Cate and Trevor’s big day!Rielle has nerve to insist her child be flower girl and she wasn’t EVEN invited to the wedding.I wished Rielle would just leave John and Elizabeth’s children alone as it would be best for everyone.Even if John married her the kids would never accept her-who is she fooling?John would do to her what he did to Elizabeth. Now the only thing John is obligated to do is pay child support until the child is of age and then have no more contact with Rielle. This whole case saddens me and wish only the best for the Edwards children(Elizabeth’s and Johns kids after what they have been through)! They are not the only family who has had to deal with such a tragedy.

I agree with CB and others who say “that person” should not be involved or invited to Cate’s wedding. I was so glad when I read that Cate banned her. I was also glad that the kid did not show up. This would only give “that person” a chance to get close to Elizabeth’s babies which under any circumstances should not happen. There are a lot of instances where the outiside issue only has a relationship with the father only and not the rest of the family and everything turns out very well for all involved. This issue will be just like her custodial parent, who has no morals at all so “it” will be just a carbon copy of “that person”.
