One 2,200 square foot nursery is not enough for superstars Jay-Z and Beyonce!
Beyonce and Jay-Z are preparing for their first child together — which friends say is a girl! — and they’re sparing no expense! According to Star magazine, the couple have hired an interior designer for not one, but three nurseries!
While the nursery in Manhattan is allegedly 2,200 square feet, the couple is also preparing nurseries in their Miami and Scarsdale, New York homes as well! And each room is going to cost more than $250,000 each, according to Star!
“Beyonce wants 18k gold trim on everything,” a source told Star. “The crib is like a mini four-poster bed with silk curtains, and they’re going to town with the cashmere throws. Plus, there’s a top-of-the-line sound system with an iPod dock so they can play the baby nursery rhymes, and a flat-screen TV that comes down from the ceiling.”
An insider told the magazine that the couple have spent hours perusing baby catalogs and interior-design books: “With the help of their decorator, they’ve picked a mixture of calming tones and colors, combined with some serious glamour!”
And alleged godmother of the new addition, Gwyneth Paltrow, has offered tons of advice. “The nurseries will be identical, so no matter which home they are in the baby will feel at ease — which was completely Gwyneth’s idea!”
Apparently Jay-Z enjoys prepping for the baby so much that he’s considering designing babywear for his Roc Kids clothing line! “He wants to start doing cool little onesies and hats!” the insider revealed.
Wow! This baby is going to have quite the lavish lifestyle! Is it too much, HollyMoms?
