Chaz Bono Eliminated Dancing With The Stars

After last night’s emotional episode, did YOU agree with which couple got the boot from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Oct. 25?

It came down to the two most controversial couples for elimination on Dancing with the Stars Oct. 25: Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer. However, in the end, it was truly the judges’ scores that did the talking.

After hanging on by a thread for weeks, Chaz, the 42-year-old transgender advocate, was eliminated. “I took so much away from this. This was an amazing journey that really pushed me and really showed me I can do so much more than I realized,” he said after hearing the news.

He added, “I came on this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man. If there was someone like me on TV when I was growing up, I would have had a much [better] life.”

Chaz and Lacey were consistently the lowest scoring team in the competition, but Chaz’s large fan base kept them afloat.

“Chaz bravely put on his dancing shoes and became a fan favorite, showing millions of viewers that he’s like any other guy,” GLAAD Acting President Mike Thompson said in a statement. “Though it’s sad to see him go, Chaz has helped countless people better understand what it means to be transgender. He should be commended for both his courage and determination. We hope Chaz’s time on Dancing with the Stars is just the beginning in a long line of transgender-inclusive programming across the media.”

Were YOU upset to see them get the boot or did you agree with the decision?
