Mariah Carey’s Cute Baby Pics & Interview!

The superstar mom revealed that her babies love it when she sings to them — how sweet!

Barbara Walter’s interview with Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had everybody buzzing this week – and now they’ve finally shown their babies to the world!

The interview took place at their 12,000 square foot penthouse in New York City, in the Moroccan room where Nick proposed.

Mariah and Nick’s marriage has its ups and downs, but their very much in love. “I’m just happy to be in love and to be here,” Mariah said.

Mariah had a difficult path to pregnancy: She had a miscarriage before she was pregnant with the twins. After that she changed her lifestyle to become more “zen-like.” Something worked because at age 40 she was pregnant with twins Monroe and Moroccan.

It wasn’t an easy pregnancy. Mariah required long periods of bed rest and false labors. She also had Gestational Diabetes and Preeclampsia. In addition to her medical issues, Mariah could barely move or get out of bed herself.

However, she insisted that she wanted to make it to full term. She made it to 35 weeks before the doctor insisted she have a C-Section.

In the delivery room, Nick served as DJ. As the twins were born, the live version of Mariah’s hit song “Fantasy” was playing.

The couple are so excited about their adorable twins, who look just like Mariah. And a music career might be in the cards for the twins. “They really respond to music,” Mariah said. Nick hopes they’ll “sing as beautifully as their mother,” but he added that he would like them to get a PhD or another career.

Whatever the twins end up doing, their parents will be proud. “It’s completion,” said Nick. “It’s just love, it’s a beautiful place to be,” said Mariah.

Felt all tingly inside

These babies are beautiful. I remember reading months ago, Nick said the little boy looks like Mariah, and the little girl looks like him. As for people commenting on color or race, I don’t get it. I have two black parents, and I was light as a baby. Nick is not really a dark man. He’s brown skinned and his mother is a little lighter than him. Mariah is only a quarter African American. She was very pale as a little child. Halle Berry’s daughter is 3/4 white, but she is darker than these babies. Contrary to what people admit, most African Americans who were descendants of slaves have some white blood in them, and/or Native American. It could come out at any time, especially where further mixing is involved. Why are people saying they are a white man’s babies? They just look like little light skinned black babies to me. Black people continue to darken until old age. They will tan up a bit as they grow.

Hey, they’re just babies. No black baby is born the color they are as adults. They are born much lighter and when you imagine what color Mariah was as a baby, it’s not a surprise they are this light. They are definitely Nick’s. They’ll get darker as they get older. Now MJ’s kids you can say that about cuz he’s kids are old and still so white skinned. I won’t mind a DNA test to prove them his.

As a mom who had fertility issues (and 3 miscarriages), I am so happy that Mariah and Nick became parents of these beautiful twins. What a beautiful blessing!!!

Kids are cute but none of them look like Nick Cannon, they are just too darn white. As a matter of fact, one parent is tan the other is dark skinned and kids are white, somebody had better get a dna test! Those kids if they were Nicks should be much darker.

Mariah Carey’s comments seemed so self centered on what she went through and what it did to her body, etc. She did not give the impression that she was thankful or that it was all worth it to have two healthy babies. So many women would give anything to be in her shoes.

Wow some people just love to hate. She said herself that was very thankful for her family, and she didn’t want to complain. She had a high risk pregnancy and she was just trying to get across that. She and Nick seem like really wonderful parents and I’m sure they appreciate their family very much.
